it's been three seasons since this shit started and it still hasn't been fixed.why the fuck does my water or lava go back into my inventory when i pick in up but then it disappears when i try to place it?
why the fuck does whenever this happen and i go to grab my spare bucket and the other bucket disappears, and I die because I have no lava?
why during half of my fights do I get tp'ed back three blocks and die because ive been stuck?

maybe this would be half fixed if you knowTHERE WAS NO LAVA

It even happens in any server due to latencyThey simply can't do anything about it

Wrong.
The problem is that this https://i.imgur.com//J0h6qHY.png should give the same results as this https://i.imgur.com//sPUBjRn.png but it doesn't always do that.
The onBucketFill updates too slow so if someone can find a way to cancel the onBucketFill event and manually place it down where it's supposed to be, then it's fixed.
I only managed to fix it for single player since you can't cancel the onBucketFill event on a normal server. I even tried changing the packets that were sent to different coords but wasn't able to do it.
Hopefully someone else better at coding than me can figure this out.

Yes it has to do with latency but not network latency, go test it in single player.
You can reproduce the bug by moving your mouse quickly from one block to another block and placing the water/lava immediately.
