Hello welcome to my rant, and today I will be talking about this action called "bowspam" Who does this "bowspam" Why do they do it? Does it give a big advantage?How do we counter it?
This term "Bowspamming" became popular when pvp came out. People used this term when they got shot a lot of times. But "Bowspamming" actually means you throw your shots without charging them. I really dont know who came up with "Bowspamming" but hey they probably hate the bow.
Who Bowspams, Why do they bowspam?
Im pretty sure why most of the people bowspam is either they are getting the d while meleeing. Or they are bad at meleeing. Im not gonna be that guy and say bow takes more skill blah blah thats an another rant. :)
And (This is confirmed) the people who hate bowing is the ones that are not good at it. Just play some archer matches, watch videos, and learn bowing even though practice makes perfect. This is not something like clicking. Its something that takes more time to be good at it. Practice makes perfect.
Does "Bowspamming" give a big advantage?
Of course it does. Even if you're bad at bowing you should try to counter your opponent
if they shoot you once shoot them back once dont be afraid if you dont land your shot, not the end of the world you can always get one more melee hit.
How to counter it correctly?
Wall up. The easiest thing to do. If your opponent is still shooting, put yourself in a little box that you can quickly get out of. 5x5 is preferred. Saying stop "bowspam" in chat and saying "cancer" will make the enemy bow more trust me. Also getting shot 1-2 times is not that big of a deal just bow back. If you cant just melee rush :)

Honestly if someone bowspams I dont mind to much. Its irritating, and im terrible at the bow, but I do recognize that it is a worthy strategy, and it is competitive server after all. What I dont like is when people do nothing but bowspam, run the entire game, and chug, WHEN ITS A FREAKING UNRANKED MATCH. Something that annoying little kids in minecraft do to keep people who sword rush away from them, mainly did in uhc(UltraHardCore) where most kids bowspamBowspam is used to keep players away from them, using a bow and not fully charging arrows.
Oh my god, people who use bowspam are so annoying!

I would say the majority of people who hate bowing hate it because they aren't good at it but to say it's confirmed that everybody who hates bowing are the ones that are not good at it is not true.

Good archers know the importance of bows and how they do take skill, contrary to what 75% of this community says.
