How to make UHC Factions more enjoyable!
UHC Faction is a good concept but there are many improvements needs. I haven't seen any suggestions on the forums yet so I will post my own. Feel free to agree or disagree. Keep in mind that this isn't a rage thread. I find the grind in UHC factions fun and find it fine the way it is but 95% of the other people who played it have found it too hard and quit. I will bold the suggestions that I think are the most important.



1) Make claims cost 50-100$ or free. For a solo faction to claim a chunk of land he would have to mine at least 16 blocks of iron and then make his way back to spawn just to claim a few chunks.

2) Make wrenches/crowbars cost less. 30000 is way too much considering you cant strip mine and there are many other expensive items at shop.

3) Make mining easier. Either allow strip mining or have the mining world contain a lot more ores and diamond level caves than it currently does. Also making Haste II potions buyable at shop wouldn't hurt.

4) Make it so you can sell any amount of blocks and not just 16 blocks. You should be able to sell a lower amount of blocks and be able to get money out of it.

5) Removing horse armor or disable horses. Horses give a huge advantage in a game-mode like UHC and for there to be only a small amount of saddles on the map is not fair. A team of 3 players with one guy on a horse can take out almost anyone.

6) Make the wilderness closer to spawn. A 1000 block kite with 5 guys behind you with bows is almost impossible, especially if they have horses. Having wilderness 550-600 blocks from spawn wouldn't make much of a difference in this gamemode.

7) Make fish sell-able. I can't tell you how many people were fishing at spawn and spamming chat asking where to sell fish at. If claims were cheaper/free this wouldn't be too necessary but with claiming the way it is you should be able to sell fish.

8) Make the kit a little less squishy. Unless it's a 1v1, the kit is way too quickdroppy. If you get jumped by a team in a bad situation you are going to die.

9) Drop heads for iron kills too, not just diamond. The kit is too squishy to only be able to heal 2 hearts at a time unless it's an even fight.

10) Have a final heal after your PvP timer disables. When my PvP timer ended I was at 2 hearts.

11) MAYBE have a 5 min cooldown that after you take damage from a mob or player then you won't be able to regen health until the 5 minutes have passed. Most hardcore UHC players won't like this suggestion but I feel it would be better for a gamemode like factions.

12) Remove allies or have better allying rules. Getting 10v5 in UHC is like handing them a free raid.

There should be away to heal really quickly so you can kite properly, something that you could use instantly to heal but also have a slight skill thing, like a projectile…

Imagine that, a thrown projectile that could heal you instantly… Now that would be awesome for factions.

You need 2 people, solo factions are not encouraged.
