I don't think there's any way to prove that god isn't real. When you really think about it, you can't prove that matter or anything around you even exists at all. Everything you see/feel/hear etc. is just a result of signals being sent to your brain, if it even is that. For all anyone knows we could be in tubes like in the Matrix, or aliens having an extended dream. Because of that, there's no way religion would completely die out.

The belief that there is a higher power isn't illogical, however the act of believing in a specific "God" with no merit to it and putting/devoting your entire life to that made up diety and worshipping it is just down right stupid and not well thought through lol

I mean, the only thing anyone can know for sure is that they exist. I know I'm not wording this very well, but believing that there is some purpose/cause for our existence isn't just believing "in anything we hear."

I've been talking about the belief in a higher power as a whole, not just the belief in one specific god.

However, while some people definitely do go over the top with a specific religion, being thankful for existing and wanting to show gratitude to a creator if you believe in one isn't that absurd.

I just had an argument on Twitter against religious people, they weren't able to prove god after asked several times, they just kept telling me bullshit like "Everything is created for a reason". No, I honestly can't understand how fucking dumb you need to be to believe in such fucking garbage. I got blocked.

I'm getting close to locking this thread because of some of you people. If someone believes in god, let them do that, don't call them "autistic" or "fucking stupid". I've gone ahead and deleted those posts, and I don't want to see anymore of them.

Evolution doesn't mean there isn't a higher power. How is it dumb to think that the incredibly complex universe we live in may have some purpose and had not just happened entirely by accident? You have the right to be an atheist but calling everyone names doesn't help your argument.

People go too far with religion, and the largest (I think) religion in the world, Islam, literally controls every single thought that goes through your head, what/when/if you can eat, require your praying twice daily, etc. Too. Much. If there was an actual God he wouldn't want you to pay him/her so much respect you would go out of your way and suffer for it.

O btw God is real cuz some dude died and came back to life and explained that there was a heaven and it was made out of full gold. This post is funny becuz these sweaty minecraft players think they are smart by using wikipedia to find this shit y'all aint scientists.
