Way more accurate because if silver is like 1500-1900 then I would be 2k rated

It's also a little tiny bit off, as Silver II is actually 1400 and there are some other things about MMR that make the comparative difficulty of achieving certain ranks harder than elo.
That said, this is a good estimate, and Qualifying is more of a placeholder rank than an actual number. I believe you can come out of qualifying anywhere between Silver V and Gold V.
