I've been playing the game for a very long time, put in countless hours of the few years but i havent seen an improvement in like 1 1/2 years even though over that time I've played a ton. anyone else feel the same way?Posted on 21 September 2016 - 01:19 PM
practice does help. Just try different playstyles. From defensive to aggressive.Posted on 21 September 2016 - 01:56 PM
Practice, but be innovative in your practice. Try new things, like playing a whole day without using bow or blockhitting constantly. Watch youtube videos, adjust your FOV and sensitivity, and never let yourself fall into a pattern of doing the same thing over and over again if that thing doesn't work.Posted on 21 September 2016 - 02:09 PM

Practice does help but then again you see people that are one day above average and the next godly (tylarzz)

Focus on things like how you arrange your inventory to help you, how you hold your mouse to quickly move around, sensitivity, FOV, mouse DPI, different styles of pvping, different strats etcPosted on 21 September 2016 - 09:57 PM
Practice proper pvp and you will get better, practicing incorrectly will do nothing.Posted on 21 September 2016 - 11:06 PM
As someone who plays with bad ping and always used to blame losing on my ping, it doesn't matter. When I was travelling I had about 20 ping and it made a difference, yes, but a very minor one. With 130 ping I can be just as good as 20 ping, just with some adjustment.Posted on 21 September 2016 - 11:13 PM
You need to get good at your own play style but what I do is play as aggressive as I can but heal with only reg gaps (not heads) because at the end of the fight if you can heal 4 hearts and they can only heal 2 it is kinda overpowered.Posted on 21 September 2016 - 11:19 PM
you can play for 10 years and still not be good if you dont practice correctly. perfect the fundamentals of the game.Posted on 21 September 2016 - 11:43 PM
If you figure out how to take advantage of broken mechanics in this game you'll improve on your own. I've always wanted to be an extremely good strafer and strafing is the only reason why I can even compete. Without strafing I'd be complete boo booPosted on 22 September 2016 - 05:09 AM

It feels more responsive but when you play it doesn't make as much of a difference as you'd think. It's good, yes, but Tylarzz got 2.1k on EU with 130 ping, and then I think higher. Bad ping doesn't mean you can't PvP well.

Sure, I might be a tad above average, but there's a ton of people who have been playing as long as I have (or a lot shorter) and are much, much better.
