This guide will show you how to not start beef with anyone which eventually leads you to getting your internet hit, and how you can self-improve on your own attitude as well as community interactions and trust levels. I'll start off with how to not get DoS'd / DDoSed and gradually move on to how to be a better part of the community.

1). Don't join sketchy servers

-You have a right to join whatever server you feel like joining. However, it's all depended on you whether or not you trust the server's owner / staff. The reason you are currently getting your internet hit is because of your own irresponsible actions that got you there

2). Don't add sketchy people on skype

-Skype yes, the program used to communicate with people around the world whether they be friends or family or even enemies. One helpful tip is to not make your skype your actual IGN, another would be to actually not add sketchy people on skype. If you're already a victim of DoS/DDoS then sign out of your current skype, get a new IP and get a new skype, and don't log back on to your old skype with your new IP.

3). Don't join sketchy TeamSpeaks

-Ever since Skype got less popular and TeamSpeak is becoming more frequently used, people can easily get an IP just by viewing the client connection info. You're not safe on untrusted TeamSpeaks such as a 10 slot TS, etc. trustworthy TeamSpeaks would be like Badlion, MineHQ, Mineplex, Hypixel, etc. because these are known networks and have a very high reputation.

4). Don't piss others off

-Reason why someone would even want to hit your internet off in the first place is because you probably did something retarded in the first place. Try being friends with everyone, try not to be annoying, and try to actual be a community member. 5). Don't trust everyone

-I said above try to be friends with everyone, but what I didn't say was to trust them 100%. There's a small circle of people that I trust online with shit and I know I can count on them for it. No, your "friend" was banned by GCheat for cheating. Don't say "I trust him he wasn't cheating" because he obviously was. People like that will have a hard time in life getting through the game because of how easily they'll trust someone. Trust only those that you've known for a very long time, are close to you, and have shown that they deserve your trust.

6). Just play the game

-It's literally not that hard. Just play the damn game and if you don't want to be social, then mind your own business And play the game. This game was made to have fun on a virtual level, people who start shit and try to intimidate others by hitting their internet off are pathetic. Let them do them and you do you.

Hopefully you'll not only understand how to not get your internet hit, but how to self-manage your own behavior and be a better part of the community.

Don't add people on skype. They get your IP. Everyone knows all those Vykz. Just don't go a Randy's server. Just join servers like Badlion. Don't trust 20% Reddit Servers. Avoid known DDoSers. I could list 15 from AU, NA, and EU. If you get DDoSed constantly tell your host or provider if you could change your IP constantly or get a program that does. Don't go on fishy sites.

I've been pissing people off ever since I've been posting, been hit off like once and I was using my neighbors public network so it doesn't even matter
I have roughly six hundred Skype contacts, ~550 I don't even know exist

You don't get hit off for being annoying, you get hit off if people are genuinely angry at you. Probably meaning you did something retarded too.

EDIT: and I join dozens of randy reddit uhc teamspeaks a month, still nothing has happened.

But I recommend that you suggest discord in your thread. Discord is user friendly, similar to both skype and teamspeak, and to my knowledge you can't get someone's ip from it. The best thing about it is that you can create server bots to automatically punish rule breakers, play music when commands are typed and many other things.

Knowing myself, I get in trouble more than I should, so I'll test this out.
I've been hit off multiple times and being ddosed doesn't bother me anymore, find it pathetic people actually care so muh about being hit off. It's just the Internet..
1) Failed. I join EFNet, an IRC server which is well known for being the place ddosers/hackers come together. They seem to enjoy hitting off an username just because his ip address isnt hidden.
2) Failed. I was added by multiple players and keep getting invited to hacker chats for players that use clients. I saw xKniqht in one of them which was kinda funny.
3) Don't use ts.
4) Failed. I piss everyone off.
5) Okay, not too sure about that. I pissed off a good friend and he attempted to find my home address to use against me. Got to just a mile out of where I live. Yeah, trust whoever you want but don't piss them off I guess. I have also been scammed before and it's not a good feeling when someone betrays your trust, so don't trust ANYONE is my advice.
6) Failed. I just talk so much shit over the game I find it amusing. I don't threaten but I just trash talk a lot, leading to being hit off etc.

Overall this is pretty accurate!
