Survival games 2.0 in conclusion
Hi,
So, I would like to conclusion everything I think about SG 2.0, the bad and the good things.

Maps
Good: Many variety of maps you can play on.

Bad: Unable to vote can be really annoying, because if you want to play on your favorite map you can't, you just need to rejoin until you get it.
If you really against playing on the same map over and over, just do what MCSG did with % votes.

PVP
Good: Nothing.

Bad: For some reason, for me the pvp felt so weird.

Tier System
Good: Nothing.

Bad: The new tier system compared to the old SG, is much worse.

Concept:
Good: The concept itself not that bad, as a minigame server as a pvp server it is bad.
The selection chest pretty good idea, but too OP

Bad: To be honest SG 2.0 is a complete rip-off from Mineplex SG.
The use of cobweb if pretty common in minigames server SG, so I won't include it.
So the dead bodies I played a lot of servers and ONLY in Mineplex, I have seen this (Former Mineplex SG tryhard).
The supply drop, once again ONLY in Mineplex I have seen it. (BTW it is too OP)

Conclusion:
Not the best update I seen, feel more like minigame server SG than PVP server SG.

I would suggest that you bring the old SG, until you come with more better idea for updated SG.

Map vote system: I never played a mal twice in a row. I think they get selected pretty good. A voting system is not really neccessary.

PvP: I know what you mean. Have that on FFA aswell

Balancing: I played about 30 matches already and I never had the feeling that the game was unbalanced. The selection chests are def. not op. As you can only take one piece. Supply drop is perfect. If multiple ppl head for it a fight is always forced a fight.

Imo SG 2.0 is more skill ans strategy based than the old SG.

The old tiering system on Old SG was wack I would get full iron or 6-7 armor bars in as little as 5 minutes on average. To me it felt that players could and would get very stacked early on in the game which isn't fun.

As for maps I'm kinda glad we can't vote because I can vouch when the only maps I played on old SG was Alaskan Village, Par 72, SG4, Turblunce, Zone 85. I rarely ever played any other map than these 5 maps. Variety is goodS

PvP: Same for me.

Only thing I'm not a fan of is cobwebs.

Finally this isn't me being 100% biased

Look for me and for a lot skilled PVPers MCSG (MCGamer), was the godly server for SG.
So Badlion took this idea and made it better, by making the tier system more balanced and less time to wait. (I'm talking about the old SG)
And that was the good choice for Comp PVP server.

But now Badlion took Mineplex idea and tried adding to it the comp PVP.
But the problem is that Mineplex is a Minigame Server, and Badlion is a Comp PVP server.
Those 2 things cannot be together.
But Badlion forced that, and look what came from it a Comp PVP minigame.

Now there is a lot of flaws with it:
Playing with friends FFA - you just can't do it, the only way to do it is by, hopefully clicking on the same time and pray to be together.
The fun of taking TO2 - that option is no longer there, the pressure of fighting a randy teamers and killing them, is one of the best feeling you can have in SG.
Tier system - Is way too OP, I was iron helm and boots and chain leggings and chest then, I opened the godly airdrop and I had full iron with dia sword (I didn't crafted the dia sword, it was already in the chest(and that not including the selection chest which is also too OP))
And also you can find a damn lot of gapples, tier 2 chest now have way too much gapples (IMO it should be limited to 5-6)
Dead bodies - Even with fixing not seeing their names, it is such a useless thing to add.

I seriously have no bad things about SG 2, but this is not a fun minigame/game to play.
They should fix the next things:
1. Removing FFA and TO2 and making it 1 server - more players playing one game. (BTW there is no need of adding a solo or TO2 server badlion community really don't team that much)
2. Bring the old tier system - the old one was completely good and no one can complain on that.
3. Removing the useless dead bodies - to be proud and say we didn't copy from Mineplex.
4. Remove the airdrops - same reason as 3, but also to balance the gear for everyone. (BTW you said it was so people will be forced to fight, believe me the matches on the old SG was fast enough and there is no reason to rushing any further)
5. Fix the PVP system - it clearly it's not the same as the old SG.
6. Add % votes - will make everyone life easier, by playing the map you want, and not another random map that god knows where to run.

If Badlion will fix all the things I mentioned above, I can guarantee that no one will complain about SG 2.

This current SG is not a something I would like to record to my channel, I rather stop uploading SG than recording this. (it is too much unbalanced minigame)
And once again, Badlion is a Comp PVP server so it should have a COMP PVP GAMES.

BTW, full iron in 5 minutes is a lot of time. (and also fighing stacked guy on the start when you undergeared can be really nice handicap for more skilled players)
Maps I agree with you, but by adding % votes can easily solve that problem. (And IMO that is the best choice rather the most votes win or random map every game)

Well Alaskan village have really op chest route but in other maps (except Zone 85) it take like you said around the 4-6 mintues to be stacked
And also do you not agree with what I said about the flaws and the fixes of SG 2?

The time you wait until a match start hasn't really changed. You just dont get TPed in a separate Lobby.

The only thing Badlion really implemented, which has a quite big ingame value are the Supply Drops. Mineplex isn't the only server which has them.
They just speed up the game and get the players together and force them to fight if multiple people went for the Drop. It makes the game more interesting.
So why shouldn't they add it?

SG is a minigame. It has always been. Why shouldn't minigames be competetive tho?

I don't belive you that you couldn't play a FFA with a friend because of the new system. You can see how many people are in the que. Atm a game takes about 30secs to fill. If you don't manage to join in these 30secs the old system wouldn't have worked for you aswell.

So To2 are always "randys"?! I liked to see you playing SG and getting teamed on by two casual players.

There you go. Now the best feeling you can have in SG is killing the guy who got the Airdrop loot. I played abou 30 SG 2.0 games and I dont have the feeling that the Tier system is too OP.

Idk if it's just because I'm NA but I only see a small handful of people actually complaining about SG 2.0 besides the trolls on Twittter. Can you elaborate about how these flaws and how they have a huge impact on the game?

1.) In an old post MasterGBerry said that he won't remove it, could change.
2.) Pretty Opinion based for everyone I don't think there are any problems with tiering.
3.) Again opinion based for everyone this to me is ok I don't really care I don't see why it's such a huge deal.
4.) I'm ok with this but again totally different opinions for everyone.
5.) Elaborate when you mean Fix the PvP system.
6.) Already have my 2 cents on this.

Nothing really to be "fixed" but of course here are the bugs that are already being worked on by the developers.

The only things I'm considering is nerfing air drops a bit (too small of a loot table makes it too strong), reducing gapples a bit in T2, reducing the amount of ingots that appear in chests, and possibly taking away dead bodies.

The reason I added dead bodies was because I liked using them to track down alive people, or in opposite, run away from a bunch of dead bodies. I felt having dead bodies spread everywhere really brought in the feeling of hunger games movies, which is what SG is based off of.

I'm honestly waiting to see how clan battles go, as that's what I'm really attempting to balance shit around.

well dead bodies get collected almost instantly in the real hunger games :/

SG 2.0 is disappointing. The ranks are broken as far as I'm aware. I've been stuck at silver IV with 667 points ever since I finished my 10 placement games.

As for the new matchmaking system, I liked it better when you could choose a specific game to join rather than just clicking a sign

SG with 24 players personally I like better.

The fact that you have no say whatsoever on what map choice, I'm not a fan of. Maybe a compromise could be made? For example, there are a random selection of 3 maps you could vote for. As there is a small selection to pick, this will stop the same maps being voted in, and will stop the hated maps being played. I would suggest adding this after 1 month so people get a chance to decide on what maps are most popular.

I've seen multiple teamerms, despite there being a completely different option for 2 teams. There needs to be strict rules, to deter people from teaming. When you join a game maybe there could be a message notifying you that teaming in Ffa will result in a 7 day ban for example.

As for the supply drops, I like the concept, however the loot seems to be too overpowered.

SG 2.0 has real potential. Sadly I would much rather play MCSG at the moment. MC fucking SG let that tell you that SG 2.0 needs work, as of the very fact I choose mcsg over badlion SG

I had this feeling you guys trying to make it the same like Hunger Games, but the problem is that SG and HG is a complete different thing (for me at least)
I would really recommend that you remove the airdrops, because there is no need to rush the game, and I don't know if it's only me but as a man who like simple stuffs there current SG it's feeling too much complicated, the old one was so simple and fun so why was there a reason to change it?
BTW, dead bodies only tell that someone got killed, players are not Sherlock Holmes that they can track the culprit down.
P.S, YES, please reduce the amount of gapple it just unbelievable how much gapple you can find in T2.

1. separating a small community to even smaller community, is really not smart idea, I don't even need to explain why, I'm sure you can understand why yourself (you even talked in one of your videos about how small SG community is)
2. well of course it's opinion based without even arguing, but older one was better, comparing it to MCSG and the new SG 2.
3. same as 2
4. same as 2 and 3
5. you ask me to elaborate… I'm not java developer that can notice the small changes, but my instincts as a pvp player tell me it's definitely not the same as the old one, simply just bring the old pvp system
6. dude, I'm seriously trying to help this server by writing my ideas and problems with SG 2, as a player of this server the minimum I ask is for reconsidering about SG 2, you know people make choices in life, not all of them are the best choices, in this one maybe SG 2 features are not the best choice.

I completely agree with you, but IMO airdrops are just rushing the game further more than it should be.
To be honest who would not want go to the airdrop even if they're undergeared, because they are greedy to get the loot.
That why IMO, Badlion should remove this feature.

Ranks will update eventually, there is a bug with the calculations (ratings can only be calculated once game is over, and has to be done in order). Once we fix the calculator, all games will get calculated.

That's cause you are lion and never got kicked. As default players, you would get kicked from game after game during peak times.

I have no intention of returning any form of voting. It doesn't matter how many options we add, people will either get mad that the same x maps are being voted in, or be mad that there are not enough options.

Archybot, I just thought of a really nice balance to the airdrop, tell me what you think about it.
First, I think you can rename it to the selection chest.
Now, when you go to the Selection chest, (or Airdrop) you need break it down just like you have now, after you break it you will have there only one item (now here you can choose one of the 2, 1. break the chest and then take the selection chest from the broken chest, 2. on the moment you break it, it just pop in your inventory)
And from there you just need to remove some stuffs (this is my opinion about what you should remove, but it is up to you in the end)
Remove from selection chest
-Golden apple (Too OP, golden apples should be the rarest item in SG)
-Iron axe (useless if you can choose stone sword)
-Chain armor (useless if you can choose iron armor)
-Gold armor (useless if you can choose iron armor)
-Cobweb (If possible remove it completely, simple and less rage from the players)
-Boat (useless)
Now, by doing that you just balanced the airdrop, to a really nice balanced T2 chest.
Because now people will still go to the airdrop (BTW, I'm sure player will still be forced to fight on this nerf T2) but will get a less OP stuffs, and now if someone have only one diamond he can just go there and select the diamond, so it will be kind of a predicted T2 chest, and IMO it balance it much more than getting random T2 stuffs and also selection chest.
