Guys, I would like to know. Whether it works or not, is using dns allowed on badlion? Just curious because a lot of peole seem to use it.Posted on 29 September 2016 - 08:23 PM
Yes, obviously c:DNS stands for Domain Name Server, it converts and IP such as 'na.badlion.net' to '158.69.57.25' which your minecraft client will then use to connect to the server, using a different DNS may give you another IP address for big servers as they have many different IPs.
Badlion has DDoS protection and that means they have many different number IPs that get cycled. Different DNS servers will update at different times meaning they will have a different number IP for badlion in their Database. The DNS myth came from Kohi as sometimes the IP would spit out at a close proxy to the player, giving the illusion of lower ping,
In short DNS is just a server that converts word IPs into number IPs for the computer to use and gives no actual advantage on Badlion because it has no proxies.

Don't bother using it, doesn't effect your gameplay in any way. Just a placebo effect. People who use it and think it does something are idiotsPosted on 30 September 2016 - 07:18 PM
