Today is the day that signifies the first step towards the future of Badlion Network. I am super excited to announce that we are bringing on six new Developers today onto the Badlion Network. It is our hope and ambition to continue to shape and grow competitive Minecraft PvP which will require a lot of work. These new Developers will help us with our existing game modes and the new ESL partnership, which has had a few delays but now is back on track.

Please welcome HassanS6000, Rigner, yqt1001, GyllieGyllie, and ThomasssMC who are all joining our Development family today. In addition, I would like to formally introduce import who has joined us two weeks ago and has since been doing great work. Also, Stanu will be joining us as a full time Developer as well! We are super excited to welcome all of these new faces to the Badlion community. Lastly Archybot is stepping down from his position as a emergency developer as we have more than enough people to help cover the work now.

Also in addition to the new people joining Badlion there are two more things I wish to cover in this post. First off we will no longer be accepting Junior Developers at this time. I have removed the application and will not accept any further emails for them. Second and more importantly, is the creation of the new Senior Developer role․

@SmellyPenguin is one of the two people being given this new rank/position today. SmellyPenguin has been with us for almost 3 years now as a developer, and almost since the beginning of Badlion as a public server. It has been my great pleasure to help mentor him the past three years and it is absolutely crazy for me to think how much he has grown with us the past few years. I also had the pleasure of seeing him quite often the last year as he moved very close by to me before I moved to Europe. I miss our late night food/dev runs for the ArenaPvP season launches. They were long, stressful nights, but they were fun when you had someone to experience them with. I have no doubt that SmellyPenguin will continue to drive Badlion forward and help to guide all of the new Developers joining our team today.

The second person being promoted to Senior Developer today is @git. Git has proven himself to be an intelligent developer who is very passionate and hardworking. He has answered to the call many times already and I know that he will continue to do so. Git took on an important role along with prplz during the transition from Kohi to Badlion and we wish to recognize him for this.

I know that git along with SmellyPenguin will both be able to help guide the Development team going forward.

Lastly as was my attempt a few months ago and now will be more official from today onwards, I will be stepping back from programming on Badlion. I have spent over three years punching out code for Badlion for thousands and thousands of hours. I am burned out and honestly my passion for programming for Badlion at this point has died down. I hope to take more of a senior position in terms of Development going forward and help more with the design of the software rather than the implementation of it. With the two new Senior Developers and ten Developers, I am humbled to lead this team and I look forward to building the largest and greatest Minecraft network and community.

I wish to congratulate our new Senior Developers and to give a warm welcome to the new Developers that have joined Badlion today!
