The title says it all, I completely suck at soup and vanilla and would like to get better. And no its not all pot ladders I'm fine with nodebuff and debuf and gapple if that counts. It probably has something to do with that you drop really quickly in these ladders. I have a Razer Naga for my mouse and when I'm jittering I have yet to find a good way to hotkey (using the mouse). Should I try using other hotkeys for these ladders and rebind the buttons on my mouse to those buttons too (for other ladders)? If I need to clarify anything please tell me I wrote this somewhat quickly.Posted on 02 October 2016 - 11:09 PM
You should drop your soup as soon as you eat itHit -> Soup -> Drop as fast as possible.
This makes it easy to refill so you are less likely to die

Don't use the side buttons on the Naga; it is far better to use your keyboard.Last edited on 03 October 2016 - 04:06 AM by GodAtDayZ
Learn to get a good feel of the hotkeys and where you should be hotkeying to, and also timing when to hotkey. In Soup, hotkey when you get to around 4 hearts. Personally I wouldn't bother with dropping bowls, if you feel you want to try go ahead, but it isn't necessary. In Vanilla, turn around and pot every time you get hit 3 times, and try playing aggressively - debuff the first few seconds, then if you get a combo, stick to it and try and leech off their pots / hit them off their pots, making them quickdrop faster. In Vanilla always pot when you feel you have to; there's more chance of one of you quickdropping than running out of pots.
I got to 1900 soup and 1800 vanilla, and they're the only ladders I'm actually good at :(
(I hotkey using 1-9 buttons on keyboard, just stick to a style and keep playing with it on different soup servers if you want to get a good feel of hotkeying)

AimLook At Your Hearts Constantly I only pot when I'm at 2 hearts
Don't pot twice as it wastes your health in the future
Know when to Debuff (Vanilla)
