Hey everyone. Here with the latest dev log of what has happened in the past two weeks on Badlion in terms of the Development. As many of you have probably seen already we have hired a slew of new Developers and promoted two people to Senior Developer recently. You can read more about this here: https://www.badlion.net/forum/thread/137539We are still looking to bring on one more person onto our team to solidify the Badlion future.
The Factions server will also be shutting down due to lack of support for it financially (since Mojang told us we cannot sell lives on it) and lack of support (NotStove deciding to quit the day of launch and then run off to another MC network despite telling us he has no interest/time for MC anymore). I just want to quickly assure the community we spent very little time working on this development wise.
UHC 6.0 Should be having beta matches relatively soon. It will be a great addition/improvement to what we already have. A championships game and a new season will start with it soon as well.
New Features
- [Website] New Forum/Clan Skin.
- [Website] More mobile compatible skin/setup.
- [Clans] Clans 2.0 for what we have planned is finished at the moment. There is now a /clan command in game which has finally been activated. We have also cleaned up the clan pages on the website and put together the /duel command for clans to fight each other on SG. We will be working on a few more small things here and there for the website but for the most part it is up to the community to now get activity within clans.
Upcoming
- CTF as a standalone server - back in development due to some design changes
- UHC 6.0 (in beta testing)
- Internationalization Support on Badlion (German, French, etc all in game and on the website)
- Network Currency/Boosters
- New Cosmetics more friendly with PvP
- New Game Modes
- New Shop (Getting rid of Buycraft)
Tweaks
- [SG FFA] Clear out the chests when a refill occurs. This way shitty items do not get stuck in the chest and prevent it from updating with new items.
- [SG] Removed the names on the dead entities lying on the ground. They were causing too much confusion for players.

- [GGuard] Added a new flag for fire spread.
- [Website] Security updates.
- [Mainframe] Added a lot of extra validation to try and help identify bugs easier
- [Mainframe] Added global mute back into SG chat
- [ArenaPvP] When a lobby server shuts down we now redirect to another server instead of to the hub.
Bug Fixes
- [Ministats] Fix a bunch of issues with data organization with the initial version. We have now properly finalized the format so that the match pages work on player profiles.
- [Ministats] Fixed an issue with sword accuracy. This will reflect in UHC 6.0 and is already live on other systems.
- [SG] Block usage of beacons
- [SG] Fixed issue that sometimes prevented death match from starting.
- [SG] Fixed the global mute toggle for players to turn it off locally
- [SG] Fixed the rating processor system to properly process ratings without crashing the entire network
- [Holograms] Fixed a small alignment issue with the armor stands sometimes popping out of the ground.
- [ArenaPvP] Fixed an issue with the chat color for match chat being messed up sometimes
- [ArenaPvP] Fixed issue with Party FFA Events not having enough players
- [FFA] Fixed issue with enderpearls not working properly
- [Mainframe] Fixed an issue where you could not solo queue in teams of 2 SG. Now you will be assigned a random teammate if you queue into teams without a party of 2.
- [Mainframe] Fixed chat issue with random problems occuring
- [Mainframe] Fixed shutdown procedure to properly clear the numbers for players in queue and in game (should stabilize the numbers)

when we start ffa event (with 3 people)
it summons one in one side of the map and the 2others one next to one so they straight away spawn at the same pleace

You should allow people to spectate on FFA servers because if someone is cheating you can't record them in 3rd person and a senior has to review it when a mod can easily handle it themselves.Posted on 08 October 2016 - 01:03 PM
Really like those Dev Logs, they give you a good overview what's currently happening around the network and show that the Dev team is indeed hard working
