Should being genderfluid be a thing?
I'm from England and find that everyone (including myself) laughs at anyone considering themselves "genderfluid". I do know that there are many (stupid) Americans that are seemingly genderfluid or agender or whatever (demigender bigender or some shit)
I would like to know should the term "genderfluid" be an actual term or still be treated as mental issues/a joke for these people?

For people who don't know what genderfluid means;
"Gender fluid is a gender identity which refers to a gender which varies over time. A gender fluid person may at any time identify as male, female, neutrois, or any other non-binary identity, or some combination of identities. Their gender can also vary at random or vary in response to different circumstances."
tl;dr if you're genderfluid you can be either a boy, a girl, both, or neither depending on your mood.

(I am ignoring the "otherkin" crap - that's certainly some form of mental disability and please don't call yourself foxkin or feykin it's abhorrent that people even allow these to exist)

I don't know much about all these genders but this can definitely be a top excuse for cheating on your partner in my opinion!

"Sorry, I was into boys that day!"

I don't think it should be treated as a mental illness as I just see it as mostly impressionable teens trying to fit in and shit but it is a huge joke.

Who are you to tell people what their genders are? I mean their biological gender is a literal thing, either they're a boy, a girl, or transitioning between the two (for example halfway through a sex-change.) But I think when they talk about being trans and stuff, it's like if someone told you that biologically you're the other gender. You still feel like, I'm assuming a boy, and you wouldn't like it if someone was telling you that you should wear dresses, and you felt like you didn't have the right "parts" anymore, and stuff like that. You would feel out of place, and that's what they feel like. And then, since it's based off a feeling, people's moods change and some days you might not feel so out of place being the other gender. But sometimes you would, so genderfluid just means that you go through feelings of "dysphoria" sometimes but not constantly. If you've never experienced something like that you can't really discredit the legitimacy of other people feeling this way. And it's not really a positive thing to feel like you're in the wrong body, so I doubt most people are wanting to be this of their own accord.

there are 2 genders, 2 sexes and a lot of mental disorders
if he trans from a male to female then he is just a guy who changes his life to a female. but he is still a male

First off there are more than 2 genders, as people are born between genders and with conditions that make their gender hard if not impossible to determine. Are you defining gender by DNA, or by genitals? If you're going by XY chromosomes = boy and XX chromomes = girl, then people end up with many variations to this. If you're going by genitals, some people are born with both, or neither. It's rare, but it still goes to show that things aren't so black and white. When a kid is born as a hermaphrodite, how do they decide which gender they're going to turn them into? By looking at what gender they are mentally.

It's extremely rare for hermaphrodites @NaomiBliss and this isn't really relative to being genderfluid, it's a one-off case most of the time.
Plus I'm talking about these teenagers who say they're a boy today and a girl the next day and then both.
Personally, if you feel strongly as a girl as a male, be a girl. Vice versa, and I'm completely fine with it, I feel for people who feel they're "trapped" in the wrong body.
However, being different genders daily or having no gender is just attention seeking. If you're born a boy and feel like a boy, stick with it, okay we all have moments when we wonder what it would be like being a girl, but taking it that far telling everyone you're a girl just based on your mood in the morning is just a joke and all you want is attention.

I was replying to what that other guy said. I think with genderfluid people it's more of a physical thing, like maybe for even a month you genuinely feel like you should have the other gender's physical features. It's not just wondering what it would be like, it's actually feeling that way. But after some time passes you don't have these feelings as strongly or you feel more comfortable and matching with your own body. I agree that it's kind of a stretch, but I don't think all people identifying as this are doing it for attention. Like when they read the description of what it is for the first time, I think they're more like "Wow, I've been feeling this way my whole life, that's so me!" and not "Mwahahahaha, looks like a good way to get attention!"

All of this mess is the product of mental illnesses.
I don't know why people always shun and scrutinize people who say that, but I think they're all forgetting the definition of "mental illness". It's "any psychiatric disorder that causes untypical behavior." Being transgender/gay/lesbian certainly falls under "untypical behavior," because that's not what normal people do.
Possibly when people these days hear "mental" and "illness" in the same sentence, they perceive "autism," which is not what I'm referring to. I'm talking about why people choose to be gay/lesbian/trans.

Mental illness has a lot of stigma along with it, and that's basically like saying being smart or stupid or something like that is a product of mental illness.

Jesus christ gender is not a mental thing, it is a physical thing you are born with and you can not change it.

Gender is actually a mental thing too -> there are literally 2 types of brains - male/female. All biological males have one type of brain, all biological females have another.

I'm glad to hear that there's ONE other person on the internet who has a belief system that corresponds to the real world and the laws of nature. The vast majority of the other players around here (and most people IRL, too) really need to do some research before just jumping on the "acceptance" bandwagon of this whole mess of gender identity and sexual orientation.

There are 2 different types of sex: Male and Female. However there are numerous genders. People get mixed up with the two different terms.
