This has probably been suggested lots but I still think it would be a great idea…if done correctly. This would basically just be where every game is completely different, because every time you would start out with different items. Now the first problem that comes to mind is "what if one person gets much better stuff". Well I think the best way to negate that would be giving certain items points, and when the players items are generated, then it will make the points even. For examplePlayer 1: Prot 3 Dia Chestplate (5 points), prot 2 pants (3 points), proj prot 2 boots (2 points), prot 2 helm (4 points), sharp 2 dia sword (2 points), fire 2 iron sword (3 points), power 3 bow (3 points), 20 arrows (2 points), 2x water buckets (2.5 points), etc
That is just an example. I would do much more but I am on my phone. Now obviously there would be some things that the player would have to get every time. Probably things like the rod, water bucket, armor, sword. Back to the example though, you would just add up all the points at the end, and then give the opponent different items, but all worth the same value. Obviously there would be LOTS of testing required to balance this out, but I think it would be a good idea. And to add on to all this, you could make the point requirement be lower or higher in some matches. So you play one match and you and your opponent both have lots of healing and prot 4 ~ prot 3 armor, 64x gaps, but then you play another match and you have only prot 1 with crappy gear. Idk just an idea, lemme know what you guys think (also yes it's uhc so no Regen and gaps+heads)
TL;DR randomly generated uhc kits but players items are Stil equal

-1first off, that was way too much reading to get a basic idea across
second, the idea is have a fair 1v1 kit, not an unbalanced kit that really has no purpose

the whole point of arena is to have completely fair (or as fair as can be) 1v1 situations where both parties are guaranteed to spawn with the same gear and conditions.Posted on 13 October 2016 - 05:51 PM

In unranked this would be a perfect idea, in a real UHC we aren't running into people that have the exact same gear as us, so +1
