The internet is not a "safe space" nor will it ever be one (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Safe-space). Badlion is not a safe space, it is a competitive minecraft server on the internet. Badlion will NEVER be a "safe space", and we typically lean towards the side of freedom of speech as long as you do not break our rules.

We attempt to provide a fair and safe environment for those playing competitive minecraft player versus player, and only in that regard. While we do attempt to reduce hate speech, harassment, and disrespect of race, gender, religion, and other protected affiliations - we do not guarantee nor do we attempt to provide an safe space for feelings and opinions.

However, please note that just because you are offended, does not mean the other person is being disrespectful/hateful. Just because another player/staff opinion does not match yours, does not make them disrespectful/hateful. If you get offended where there was no intention of offense, then it is most likely your fault and your lack of maturity. We will NOT punish for someone giving opinions, especially in an opinion/debate thread, when there was no malice intended just because your feelings got hurt and/or it didn't match your opinion. We allow the forums to be less moderated and attempt to let the community forge what kind of discussions happen on the forums, and debate threads are fine as long as they remain respectful, even if they are extremely competitive as is the nature of our community.

In the same area - Badlion LLC and its ownership does NOT support using our platform for social/political movements. We are a competitive minecraft network, not some political statement. MasterGberry and I will not tolerate movements such as social justice and safe spaces on our platform, just like notch - minecraft creator, does not. You should come here for competitive PvP, you can go elsewhere if/when you want to be an internet social warrior. You will be asked to leave if you attempt to be an internet social warrior, and you will be forced to if you do not take our recommendation. Please note that this goes for both players and staff as we had a few staff members either be fired or resign today over this.

No one but MasterGberry and I have the authority to say what is and is not allowed on Badlion LLC's services. We draw the line of what is acceptable and what isn't. This isn't the government nor is it a safe space institution - we have our own rules and both Gberry and I are the judge, jury, and executor on the rules. If we say something is fine, it is fine - if we say something is not fine, it is not fine - end of discussion.
