How to become a better person
I asked Unshift, in their thread "tbr (to be rude)", to say something about me that was rude. They replied with me being an idoit in some of my past posts. It didn't offend me at all. But I couldn't get it off my mind.

I have problems expressing my self to other people. I can never keep a conversation going. Which means that I really have no friends. No matter how hard I try, I always get nervous and never say anything because of my lack of experience talking to randoms.

What I am trying to say is, how can I become a better person? How can I express myself better so I can make friends without being an nervous freak?

I based what I said off of a few of your latest posts since I didn't really know you and that's kind of what I do if I don't know a person.
What I meant by idiotic was by judging off some of those, most of the time you accept what others say without question, without really putting thought into what you just agreed with.
On most suggestions threads you post on, I notice you always quote a person's reply or leave a generic +1 reply. I also note that most other "forumers" tend to do this, they don't really like to express themselves as they are. They strictly abide by the rules, refuse to say a word against something that might damage their reputation, do not conduct themselves with unusuality at all. (You'll see I wrote "I don't know you, bland, black and white, etc, for many people.) This is my definition of an "idiot." A person with no self portrayal and accepts what the other people say without comment.
This is linked with what you said about being hard to express yourself to others, and possibly with it being difficult to find friends.

My tip: (to everyone, really) Don't be afraid to act like who you are, don't get seized up and nervous when talking, express a person.

My opinions I gave were for the most part blunt and undeveloped, so if you want me to elaborate, please say so

I know. My mom has restricted me and my siblings from talking to strangers to protect us (idk why). I bypassed this restriction to get a head start so in the future I do not get so nervous talking to others. It has worked somewhat, but not excatly what I wanted. I'll keep trying to talk more. Thanks for the encouragement.

This is what I meant by not expressing myself a whole lot. I usually go with the flow, say what I have to say, and that's it.

I like their ideas and all I can think of posting is "+1".

I don't express myself because I am always afraid of hurting other people. To get away from hurting others, I just keep my hands of the keyboard/mouth shut.

That makes more sense. And this is a great example of my personality.

I will do my best to do this. I just like to keep my mouth shut/keep my hands of the keyboard if I feel like what I am saying might hurt someone.

No need too. But thanks for explaining what you said. This thread was just to help get opinions so I can become a better person. I was not intending to hurt you at all.

Why should I not talk to him? He did nothing wrong. The point of this thread was to help me become a better person. I was not trying to make him sound like a bad person.

everyone is an individual with different thoughts, feelings, and ideas and i've always been fascinated by the fact that no matter how many times i talk to a person i will never not have something to talk about simply because when you think about it everyone has a different way of looking at the world so i make it my thing to try and get as much of that out of a person as possible, and i just find it amazing how much you'll learn about not only other people but things about yourself, things about the world around you, and things that you simply never considered thinking about through conversation

don't be afraid to make your mark on the world because you're just as qualified as everyone else
