I understand that staff have pride in there anti cheat but they shouldn't be able to deny anti-cheat bans for "You were indeed hacking". Like my friend got banned in a 1v1 against him and me, and he lagged back and got banned. It's completely unfair for players who play legit and staff just say "You must have been hacking so your staying banned, we dont need proof". You trust robots more then your self staff?~Heat

i think after a month your friend should be able to escalate his appeal to the gcheat adminsPosted on 15 October 2016 - 03:18 PM
So? He shouldn't have to, he should be unbanned right now.Posted on 15 October 2016 - 03:20 PM
they check the gcheat logs generated yanno. Notice how it's always a senior mod that responds?Posted on 15 October 2016 - 03:26 PM
How would they know if anticheat is correct?Posted on 15 October 2016 - 03:27 PM

if your friend was 100% not cheating of any sorts, tell your friend to escalate his appeal after a month, plain, simple.

That's a dumb argument. I wouldn't want to wait a month to get unbanned if I didn't even hack, and nor would you.
My advice to you is to check his mouse and confirm he wasn't hacking. If his mouse double clicks, he could've got banned, or if he was butterfly clicking, it's not only hacking, it's autoclickers, double clicking, macros, butterfly clicking, and more.

Ask a senior to escalate it. That's what happened to NaomiBliss' appeal.Posted on 17 October 2016 - 09:46 AM
He was probably cheating but whatever.Posted on 17 October 2016 - 10:53 AM
Now they have a new type of anticheat coming up, I wonder if they will ever release any logs for the older anticheat? HmmmmmmPosted on 17 October 2016 - 12:12 PM

Yeah, you have to get a mod to escalate the appeal, because it won't let your friend do it for a month. From what I've seen, anyone who pleads not-guilty to a GCheat ban (myself included) just gets denied, accused of hacking, and has to wait for a month unless they can get someone to escalate the appeal for them before that time. I agree that the staff shouldn't just assume hacks regardless and tell you off, shut your appeal, and make you wait. Inaccurate GCheat bans seem to be happening to quite a few people, since there's no way for a bot like that to be completely perfect. Some of the mods going through and auto-denying the appeals like that need to realize this.
FYI, the rules allow your friend to come back on an alt if he has one or if you can loan him one. If he gets a second ban from lag like I did then it will IP ban him, though.

If he was banned for GCheat then GCheat thought it detected some kind of hack. It's not like the mod would look in the GCheat log and see it say that he wasn't hacking but was banned anyway. And I think it's always senior mods that respond because they are the only mods that can approve/deny appeals.

Seniors and higher only have permission to view gcheat logs but the logs are basic hence why it can be escalated to admins for advanced logs.

holy god what do you expect them to do, there are thousands of randoms that get banned every day and appeal saying 'NO HACK JUST JITTUR CLIK PLS UNBAN' and are they cheating? 99.99% of the time, yes. The staff team don't have time for all the people lying in appeals, especially with a playerbase this bigPosted on 22 October 2016 - 02:36 PM

^^ @Jahmyr right after I made my appeal it was denied by a senior mod, but last night this really pro coder guy went through everything on my computer and saw I wasn't using hacks when I got banned. Looking in the logs can't determine if someone was actually hacking, just if GCheat thought they were using hacks.
