On Cubecore, I have found that oftentimes when people have trouble killing players in diamond, yet are still determined to have a high score, they will desperately target anyone in bard, rogue, etc. in an attempt to get their points that way. Although these are much easier kills due to lower armor/less hearts, they still count the same as regular kills. My suggestion is that kills on people in non-diamond kits should either count for half a point or a fourth of a point, or not for any points. This way, it can be more certain that the people with the highest scores on the leaderboards got there because they're the best at PvP, and not just because they run a lot and only kill bards.Posted on 17 October 2016 - 11:54 AM

I don't play cube core at all, so Naomi don't roast me about how idk stuff, but tell me if I'm wrong in what I say: It is a decision about who you go after, correct? You go after and try and kill someone you think you can take. Then anyone in full diamond or whatever will go for weaker players for stats any day.Let's take UHC; if you're in full diamond, and you see someone else in full diamond and someone else in full iron, if you want stats, go for the full iron. Obviously. Don't get me wrong, I see the merit in your ideology, I just don't think that's how a game mode should progress, it should reward strategic play which is what I currently see.
And correct me on anything I'm wrong with. I genuinely don't play cube core, I'm basing it off what I've heard.

You raise a good point, but it reaches the point where anyone who cares about their stats can't use the other kits at all since they'll get mobs of ten people chasing them for the kill. And while score should be partially based off strategy, it should also require some skill and ability to beat people in the same armor as you. However, often times my friends and I find ourselves fighting someone who is on the leaderboards yet is mediocre or even awful at PvP. Meanwhile, some of the people who actually are very good PvPers end up not on the leaderboards, for example LordBowser and SuperNeil64. Lowering the value of light armor kills would at least bring score closer to being related to skill level.

It mattered to Unshift in a series of angry PMs. But I'm willing to let bygones be bygones.
