Capture the Flag - CTF
CTF (Capture the Flag) is a new game mode on Badlion which is in Beta since yesterday. From the many games I have played, I have not yet witnessed any negative opinions on it. The community seems to enjoy it a lot, whether they are new to CTF, or come from CTF on servers such as MCPVP/Brawl, which is sadly only compatible with Minecraft version 1.8 or higher. Capture the flag seemed to be dying but since yesterday it is hyped again. It would be a shame for people to get bored quickly, so I have some suggestions, which may already be in consideration to enhance the experience and prolong the interest in this game mode.

New maps:
CTF can be very repetitive over the span of several games, especially when the same maps are played over and over again. A larger diversity of maps, with a possibly a voting system, may make each game more unique, as players will not be as familiar with each individual. This can result in new routes and hiding areas to be discovered.

More balanced teams:
In some games, good clans will all join the same team in the same game, and dominate. I am unsure of how the community will respond to this, but it may be a good idea to implement something that weakens a team when greatly dominating. These are some ideas I spontaneously came up with:
- Slowness when within a specific radius/close to the teams flag.
- Weakness when within a specific radius/close to the teams flag.
- Poison when capturing the enemy flag (either only for the capturer or the whole team).

Flag carrier debuff:
What if the flag carrier is hit with a debuff, for example slowness, or nausea. This would require for the team to work better together.

Clan capture the flag:
Where clans can create parties to have private games against each other.

Leaderboard:
Although this would be fun for some players, it might drive others away when it turns into more of a sweaty game mode. So maybe unranked and ranked CTF?

Team hopping:
I have seen that people switch teams, just so that they can get the win in the end. It would be best if the players who have access to choosing teams can only choose a team, and not change, although some non donors bypass this by relogging :/.

Let me know what you like and dislike about CTF, and if you disagree with me or have other suggestions.

Yea, but to be honest, I think that every map is really good, in the way they look and how it feels to PvP on them.

I already saw the video, it's really good :)

I don't think dominating teams should get a debuff. But the team switching thing really needs to be fixed.

True, plus the debuffs could potentially also ruin the joy while playing, because some players would get frustrated when their debuff causes them to loose a fight.
