Why has there been a recent influx of people using a rod in Vanilla? It takes up a hotbar slot, and if you have your steak in your bar too that's only 5 potions as opposed to the maximum of 7 when you have your sword and pearls and just that. My problem in fights was that my helmet kept breaking because a guy was rodspamming me and critting me, so I just changed my kit and did the same back to him and his helmet broke first. That's my reason anywaysPosted on 17 October 2016 - 10:12 PM

1. Since armor breaks quickly in Vanilla it can help a bit2. Comboing people
3. Rodhits do double damage, especially when you're dropping so fast it's helpful
4. You feel more comfortable
5. You can trigger people easily
