Pointrefunds dont work well. Everyone who played against the banned player needs to get back(or taken away if he won) his points.
And every one who fights against a player, that lost against the hacker needs a point correction aswell.

I feel like if you get killed by a hacker and then request a point refund, you should get one. However, once you play another match on the same ladder, your point refund is voided.That would prevent the butterfly effect so people don't get drastically different points all the time, and would also prevent unwanted changes to an inactive person's points.
This could also be coded in that if you lose 214 points to a hacker and then don't play, it looks through all of the hackers matches and anyone who meets the criteria who lost points would be refunded.
Tl;dr We can't do full point refund because of the butterfly effect but I think compromises can be made.

i never said that everyone that died should get everything back. i said i should, because i lost 213 points in a ladder thats impossible for me to queue anyone that isnt emerald, which is hardly anyone, and because its one of if not the most significant drop to a cheater this season, because of how much higher of a rank i am in nodebuff than everyone else
i didnt include everyone because i assumed implementation would be difficult, especially considering whether or not you got higher or lower since you last played. but hey, if they want to do everyone, i wont complain

So we'd only refund points for high ranks? And where would we draw the line between 'high rank' and 'no high rank'? And how long ago can the matches be to still get a refund?These are just a few of the difficult problems that refunding points would create. In other words: I don't see this happening.

i didnt make this thread to ask to have refunds implemented for everyone. i wanted to personally ask for my own refund because i felt that because of the circumstances, my situation was more significant, so i thought i deserved a personal refund. i was told by staff to put this in suggestions, so i did. youre all turning this into something it's not. if you want to add or deny refunds for everyone, then go for it, but i still want an answer to whether or not ill be given back what i lost, which is why i made this thread in the first placePosted on 21 October 2016 - 02:19 PM

actually i havent played since because i cant as i explained, and even if i did, i get 13 points every win anyway. and i didnt necessarily ask for every single point back, i just want to be back to what i was before i died. its not idiotic for asking for a singular refund. its like asking for a singular manual gcheat ban instead of a ban wave. one ban is easier. its also like if danteh were to get drained by a cheater at 2800 build elo. im sure half the community wouldve spammed staff to give him 31 back. im not saying that not everyone should be refunded. if badlion can make that work, it'd be great. but its been a common suggestion that still isnt implemented yet because they cant, so i think the dumber idea wouldve been to ask for a refund system as a whole. i think youre trying to say im being selfish by rooting for me and only me to get a refund, but youve misunderstood

Honestly I've always said "If you are truly Diamond V you should be able to get back up no problems"But I know how annoying it is
