Huh, I haven't seen that before. Can you send me a link to Yale's info on it?

Yale (and all Ivy Leagues) don't offer any sports scholarships or preferential treatment, and I'm still confused as to how that allows you to get an app back months before ED get their apps back.

I realize that this is a busy time for many seniors in high school. College applications are usually due by November 1st or January 1st. Many seniors are scrambling around to write essays and get recommendation letters from teachers and coaches.
My question for all of you is…
Where are you applying? Are you nervous? Why that school? Is it a good school?
And if you're applying sometime in the future, where do you want to go?
My good friend MeMyselfAndCube recently told me that he's been accepted to go to Yale. He plans on graduating in 2022, but the applications responses aren't even out yet for most people! He must've been something really special. I note this kind of talent, and I'd like to hear about the other talent around here!

Edit: I made this talking about US universities/colleges, but if you're from somewhere else, don't be afraid to tell!
Wait what? I thought he said he was already a Yale student.

We go to universities…
Various old universities such as Oxbridge and a few Scottish ones have colleges inside the university, they just serve as administrative and competitive organisations to be honest; every college is unique and so is every Uni.
I know, we also call it an university here. I just wondered if you also went to an university and what you study (if that's not private)

@Blaszczak Low.
He's probably lying indeed. Who knows, maybe he's smart/creative enough to go to an Ivy League university but he can't afford it? Don't be so condescending on people that are poorer than you, because how you say 'and I've been accepted to one' and 'Low' really looks arrogant.
Edit: I guess the 'and I've been accepted to one' was part of the source, but still ;)

"1 of the reasons" you're just like all the rest replying to me its sad how you have to take something out of context so u can win an argument, just like all these other snot nosed nerds lmfao. That moment all the time u spent on studying amounts to shit when it comes to an argument or anything social LMAO pce.

You've actually said so little there's no context to take anything out. Maybe if you spent a little more time learning and a little less time bitching and jacking off then you will have an argument to make instead of the clusterfuck of a paragraph you jest typed out. o/

what even…
I think I saw somewhere that you said you live in the UK, and if so, whites and blacks have equal opportunities in college here, you have no excuse. Teachers may put more effort into helping people who want to learn, and good on them! It's a fact that motivation is a problem in some rough UK schools and there are people that can't be bothered to learn, so they pursue some retarded dream of becoming a rapping millionaire or a top footballing prodigy. I'm Mauritian myself and I don't see any sort of bias towards any specific race in UK schools, and i'm happily in sixth form now where all the idiots are filtered out and everyone is treated equally.
I've seen the shit that goes on in schools and some colleges in America, but I don't know how it fully works there, so if you're talking about America then my mistake
Cube is being a bit overconfident and rude on this thread but that's no excuse to go around throwing accusations

Ivy Leagues offer need-based aid, meaning that if you're poorer, you get more money to attend. Often times, if you make less than $50,000 (sometimes less), you can probably get all your tuition paid for free and most of your room and board. They often don't offer merit-based scholarships, since after all, the students who get into these colleges probably have quite a meritorious résumé as it is.
And yes, he's very proud and excited about going to an Ivy League. He'll learn soon enough that he shouldn't use that to win an argument or make himself seem better than others. Not only does it come off as arrogant, but he never knows when there will be another person going to a school of his caliber or better.

Hi I was baiting everyone in my previous posts (which, to my enjoyment, has been successful. Thank you all for participating.)I'm going to apply for York University, with a predicted grade set of A*AA. I could have applied for Oxbridge if I really bothered to work, but I seriously do not put in the time and work people do to get in these universities, because, no excuses, I am lazy. Since York is the 4th in Chemistry and have a brand new building/labs just for first years, I'm applying there. (The 3rd placed university is too old fashioned for my liking, and the rest after York are London / Edinburgh etc which are too far away for me.)
Also, I hear Yale and Harvard are costly. Expect there to be a giant student debt to pay back at the end of your degree @MeMyselfAndCube lol
