What does taking skill mean? People always talk about some kits take no skill. I know thats usually an excuse for being bad at a ladder but what does taking skill actually mean and which ladder takes the most skillPosted on 24 October 2016 - 04:41 AM
People say that ladders like Build 'take no skill', but its a pretty blunt statement, BuildUHC DOES take skill to play well, but it's really easy to get points in because everyone that has recently joined Badlion sees a competitive ladder that allows you to actually place blocks in the map, so a lot of people just join the queue to play for fun. Especially back in season 10, people would often try to build a house in ranked just for the sake of it, and wouldnt even bother trying to fightPosted on 24 October 2016 - 12:43 PM

Some ladders that are defined as "no skill" mean that they're completely ping-based ladders like diamond and iron, where all you have to do is kangaroo and straight line. Yeah this game is ping based, but in certain ladders it's to a certain degree such as anything lnvolving speed II. If I have 140ms and you have 20ms, I can still win. But if we played a ladder like diamond or something, you would probably easily win. Build takes skill in terms of rodding, placing your lava and water, etc.Posted on 24 October 2016 - 01:54 PM

Iron or diamond isnt ping based especially iron. You can always use your ping to your advantage in diamond and iron is basically a bow ladder. Ofc it would be impossible to get high elo with 250 ping but they are still skill based ladders. I dont think there is any pure ping ladder

Not wrong about diamond, still a ping based ladder compared to every other gamemode

What combo does is back up, and right after his opponent jumps for the crit, he waits and jumps then, so he gets the crit and the guy doesn't.
