Name of this archer tactic?
What's the name of the tactic where people pull back their bow for half a sec, let go then strafe to the side? Could someone knowledgeable further explain the purpose of it?

Bow spamming, or as the cool kids like to call it, bow scrubbing. The only purpose is to prevent "melee combat" because you're not very good at it.

Dropping arrows; a simple tactic to juke the opponent. They pretend they're about to stop and shoot so the opponent fires their arrow at where they pretended to shoot and then continue strafing. Some people do it a lot and some do a little.

Well maybe he's talking about the archer ladder where melee isn't even possible…?

Probably neckbreaker strafe, it's just so they shoot where you started pulling your bow and then miss when you move yet if your good at it you still damage them a bit.
