No point in my opinion.It's probably a lot better for a user to state why they dislike the post in a reply rather then disliking it so the creator of the thread doesn't know what he/she has to change in order to have a better outcome. :)

It's acceptable for a forum to have a like/upvote button, because in agreeing with the post you're liking you're supporting their reasoning, and if you have something to add, you are free to post it in addition. But a downvote naturally leads people to disagreeing without giving any reasoning, and that certainly isn't healthy for any forum. It's like when people leave -1 on a thread without any supporting logic; it's useless and stifles good conversation.Posted on 02 November 2016 - 09:08 AM
