Common thing with people on here.
Examples:
"I'm gonna fucking gouge my fucking eyeballs out after seeing that picture."
"Fuck me in the ass, that is fucking batshit crazy. Oh my fucking God, literally someone needs to shoot me in the head and shred my body into little pieces and then eat that and shit it out and feed it to Harambe's dead corpse."

in that case it would be "speaking hyperbolically" pretty sure

No, then it would be the adverb of "hyperbolic." The "in" takes the place to serve as an adverb.

Hmmm, I agree. LordBowser is right again. Even the simplest of people would know the difference.

I suppose "hyperbolically" could be used, but in that case, it is a homonym with the word describe a hyperbola in math (plus, I've never seen "hyperbolical" or "hyperbolic" used outside outside of math, e.g., hyperbolic sine, hyperbolic geometry).
I used "in hyperbole" to make it explicit that I'm referring to hyperboles and not hyperbolas.

No young one, it's "talking in hyperbole." Hyperbolically is when something creates hyperbolas.
