Weird thing that happens to me
Ever since I've started playing badlion since season 12, I always had this weird thing that when I knew the opponents elo, like lets say 1500, I just start to choke or something and end up losing, and whenever I play against people in unranked, I just beast them and quick drop them. I've realized that I'm hanging on to the bare edge of silver 2 and every once in a while I play unranked, and completely dominate. I checked the stats of some players, some were Gold 3s, and I get that they probs weren't tryharding and just got on or something, and this is probably a retarded question, but does anyone have any tips on not "choking" when I go on ranked and start fighting higher elos?

Happened to me a lot, just try to keep in mind when you're fighting anybody that you're better than them (even if it isn't true). When fighting someone bad you know you're better and you perform as so but when you're fighting a good player you expect to lose, and it happens. No matter what play with the mindset that you're better.

Thank you. Your advise is greatly appreciated.

maybe it's because people don't try in unranked?

Thats definitely not the case. It's the pressure of ranked matches that's getting to him.

It could be that but there is a high chance that the gold 2-3's he fights were warming up i get dropped all the time by silvers 2's in unranked when i warm up/don't try.

ofc there's a chance they were warming up but from my experiences I remember playing way worse in ranked matches. Mainly because I wasn't relaxed and there's pressure to get a high ranking.
