Remake SG Ladder (?)
This has been an ongoing problem for quite some time, even though it was fine in former seasons. Basically it's impossible to be consistent in SG ladder due to a fucked up range and knockback. I won't go into too much detail as it should be obvious enough to anyone who has actively been grinding this ladder. The range itself appears to be smaller and you do get very little knockback. Thus rods lose its importance and the ladder gets extremly reliant upon bows and fns', especially fns' which determine very little skill and generally just delay the game because everyone either tries to avoid or place it without any other playstyles in mind.
Keeping all these points in mind, let's have a look at the leaderboards. Whereas SG is the 2nd most popular ladder, only 2 people have ever achieved Diamond in this ladder. 90exeYT, who's struggling to keep Diamond 5 (not saying he's bad at all, him being Masters in Build just proves my point even more - very tiny skillgap) and Icehawk, who from my knowledge barely ever plays. The distribution of people's ranks is way tighter than in other popular ladders, such as Build, NoDebuff and Archer. Reason? Once again, tiny skillgap.
I myself find the KB and range in Build way more satisfying than the ones for SG. I have no clue about the system at all, but I'm quite positive it's changable to the good, as other SG servers have proven.
Obviously this is my point of view, as of now it has no validation whatsoever. However if enough people agree on this thread, it should be taken into consideration… maybe

The ladder itself isn't a problem it's the flat maps. Perfectly flat maps for sg, diamond, and iron completely through the ladders off. If you're out of arrows you're dead because there is nothing to hide behind and it's way too easy to kite.

Just completely remove fns, half of the old MCSG players want fns removed from the ladder so what does that tell you? It is a complete waste of time in my opinion.

I'd be good with removing FnS to be honest, but I haven't noticed most of the issues talked about here.

It's weird, I get 15ms, constantly 9cps, good aim and I still can't get hits. I'd consider myself to be good with the rod too considering I've played SG since 2012 and used the rod since '13 :/

It's possible. I think it's unlikely, but far more likely than, say, getting elo back.

I'm considering a major community feedback thread run by the Community Manager team about a whole variety of changes to kits for Season 15, and if we do run that, this will be on the list of potential changes.

personally, SG was the most fun back when badlion I used to play a lot of badlion in late 2014. This was because of the lacking of an FnS, because while FnS is a tool often used in this survival games,a competitive kit pvp ladder does not fit this tool well because of how overpowered it is compared to the other items in the kit. The fact that the armor is so undergeared, and the FnS takes as many hearts as it does, the entire ladder depends on landing the fns, which draws out each match longer than it needs to be, as well as adds more risk to playing aggressive, unlike MCSG used to be about. Not all players had an FnS, and most hardly ever used them. +1 to removing them

reduce the fns tick to 1 tick. I personally love the fns but hearing you guys' opinions changed mine too.

and it would also speed up the ladder, making it less defensive and players can now choose to play aggressive without getting fucked over by fire

-1 The SG kit is supposed to resemble a match of sg, just like build is supposed to resemble a UHC. It's just like taking the lava/water out of build.

This is something I've noticed too, and is probably the point I agree with most here.

I don't have a problem with the kit overall, the fns is annoying at times but I think it's a key part of the kit and has been since it was added to BL a long time ago.

Thanks for your good replies, I however believe you understood the core of the message wrong. My main intention was not to make a thread about the FnS being remove, this was only a side note which shouldn't gain too much attention really. My main concern was the weak hit registration and knockback which from my perspective definitely require and update an subsequently a revamp
