There's a really big difference between sword w/o speed and sword w/ speed.
On Badlion most of the diamond ladder is critting, where most of potion pvp is just strafing, so what Karlixon's saying is right, while you're saying he's wrong because Basti played soup w/o speed but also a different kit and he's been playing it for a while to my understanding.
I'm recording playing these matches and I can upload and link you the fights that are all just critting.

I found soup kit better with speed 2 but I didn't come from the soup community.I also think that there should still be punch on the bows in archer to force longer distance, with speed 2 people can rush closer and get shot once or twice, but they're close enough already that they can earn that back if they're good at low-mid range.

So we can assume he is a good player on this kit. I don't see a lot jump critting there.

Soup is so bad right now.If you want to go for no speed, give it stone sword & no armor.
If you want to go for speed, give it full iron unenchanted, diamond sword sharp 1, speed 2 & strength 2 (old strength).

Well the thing is with punch 1 it's too unpredictable, it hardly works as a bow boost lol so it's basically either punch 2 or no punchThis was supposed to be a reply to what someone else said…

If the other player was jump critting, Basti would've taken more damage and probably been forced to do the same.
It's not a matter of how the kit should be played, or how it's played on other servers, it's how it's played on Badlion.

When it's done processing, I think I start playing Archer and Soup at around 2 minutes in.
Some people I'm critting and it's an easy fight, others are critting back and it's really just Diamond ladder.

the problem for soup right now is, that the maps are too big, and there is no punishment for getting much knockback, if the maps are smaller people who crit alot will get more knockback and will be forced into a corner or a wall. there they can't tank or get good hits. on minekits the maps are allot smaller too.Posted on 10 December 2016 - 03:45 PM
I really don't like Speed 2 if its not proximity based damage and no punch. Its will cause way too much close range imoI don't mind Iron Soup but if its not going to have speed I think it should only be 1 hotbar
And if its going to be re-fill it should atleast be Speed 1
Next week can we have a Horse Test with old healing to see if people like it?

soup needs speed 2 otherwise its just an extended diamond match with everyone playing kangaroo simulator. in mcpvp, the home of soup pvp, everyone brough speed pots every single fight. the few soup servers that remain use speed. soup needs speed.also, refill should be kept because it widens the skillgap
