Okay, so I use a trackpad [And I have done for over 3 years now] but I'm getting tired of playing build and standing no chance because I basically can't melee. After playing Badlion for over 6 months I would expect to be able to get higher than just gold 5 and I really want to go to the next level and become a more improved player.

What I need help with :

What mouse should I use?

I play on a laptop, do I use a separate keyboard or use the one on the laptop?

How do I improve quickly with a mouse [I've never played with one before]

What FOV should I be using?

What sensitivity should I be using?

How do I learn rod?

Thanks for reading! Any help is much appreciated!

Razer and Logitech make some nice mice.

I play on a laptop, do I use a separate keyboard or use the one on the laptop?
Depends on how shit your laptop keyboard is but it really shouldn't matter much.

How do I improve quickly with a mouse [I've never played with one before]
Practice it's not something that can be taught.

What FOV should I be using?

This is a personal preference but if your aim is bad using a lower fov can help.

What sensitivity should I be using?

Again it's a personal preference but if your screen is shaking to much or you can't lock your aim onto a player a lower sens or dpi can help.

How do I learn rod?

Practice and watch some good players play.

The mouse depends on how much you're willing to spend, if you want a really good mouse get a Razer Death adder, if you're budget is low than get a decent Logitech mouse. Just use the keyboard on your laptop. You can probably find out how to use your mouse after getting used to it. I use 75 FOV but that's mainly your choice. Sensitivity depends on DPI of mouse, so just use what you think works best, and rod the person once or twice then try to combo when they're in the air (I guess, hard to explain)

Razer mouses are overrated.

I use 85 FOV which is perfect for me.
I have a Razer Death Adder but will be changing to a Logitech G502 for X-Mas.
I hotkey everything.
Practice makes perfect.
