pleeeease help me all I can do is use edited versions of YouTubers' hotbars I used Huahwi then made the rod 9 like danteh then I used an edite version of Gaxriexz's setup then I used an edited version of Immense's setup not I use an edited version of Tylarzz's setupedit: between gax setup and immense I used Danteh's hotbar for a short time
edit: anyone got info about how danteh came up with his hotbar? using xcv as 789 was an idea I'd never heard of
I need advice on how to make a good hotbar, and maybe someone could give me advice by looking at my previously used hotbars

How I did it was I made my rod, lava, and spare water/spare lava/pickaxe in x, c, v so I can use my thumb for those so when I use them I can still strafe. I made my main water the easiest number I can hotkey to with my point finger which is 4 for me. That leaves 1, 2, 3, 5, 6. Since I have issues hotkeying correctly to 6 I made that my blocks and my side mouse button. It's also a bit harder for me to hotkey to 2 so I made that my bow. That leaves 1, 3, 5. Healing goes in 3 and 5 and sword goes to 1.Posted on 19 December 2016 - 07:56 PM

This is what I would reccommend. The rod in a slot where you can easily switch back and forth while pvping, the lava in a comfortable position and water somewhere you can quickly spring to.Hotbar Priorities:
1st: rod
2nd: water
3rd: lava
Also put blocks somewhere you can easily get to so you can build over water

Im just gonna fill in what i think you'd like based off of your original post & edits.1 - Sword
2 - Bow
3 - your choice
4 - water/lava maybe blocks
5 - I'd recommend blocks on 5 so …
6, 7, 8 - Healing and food. Just make easily accessible hotkeys to these that are easy to press.
9 - Chose water/lava/rod
This is really variable based upon your preferences but it should help.
I have struggled to find a setup i've loved but this is what i go by whenever i want to change my setup.
