Yo, hello everyone! I'm here, posting a thread to see the general opinion on potion pvp, or Kohi pvp. Personally, I hate it just because of the speed effect. I love playing with potions, but not with the stupid speed effect disorienting me. I'm used to survival games pvp, with fishing rods. However, I can play soup pvp and other types of pvp without much trouble. When I get to pot pvp, though, I just can't play. The speed effect really kills me. Does this mean I'm bad at pvp?Posted on 21 December 2016 - 09:43 AM
It feels like everyone can give me insane combos in speed ladders. So I dont like it :^Posted on 21 December 2016 - 10:14 AM
just press w and spam block hits easy win :)Posted on 21 December 2016 - 10:21 AM
I struggle with no debuff. I cannot click consistently enough, same with gapple. Even just regular clicking is very tiring. Any tips? Also, changing my fov down 10 from the default usually helps quite a bit, but I don't like how it looks/Posted on 21 December 2016 - 11:03 AM
Pot PvP and gapple are the only real PvP modes. Fishing rods were never meant for PvP.Posted on 21 December 2016 - 11:28 AM

You think minecraft added health potions for pvp? No, everything in this game was originally meant for a survival sandbox ;v

learn to jitter and aim, play on an fov that is lower then 75, learn to pot conserve, wtap and blockhit timePosted on 21 December 2016 - 12:32 PM
Potion pvp was, is, and always will be my favorite. If you play with an FOV of above 80-100ish, it could get very disorienting. I (and many other old school potpvpers/youtuber) will agree that the "Normal" FOV setting is best for these kits. I think it takes the most skill out of any kits. While build uhc is more strategy oriented, pot has you rely more on accurate aim, consistant clicks, knowing when and how to pot, and just simply being mechanically capable of doing all of these things.Overall, pot is no better or worse than UHC or SG pvp. It's just different. Instead of strategy, it takes more raw mechanical skill.

No young one, you have a lot to learn. And stuff like poison and harming pots have virtually no use in survival besides PvP, so Minecraft did have PvP in mind when making pots.

Minecraft in general wasn't meant for pvp. Nothing was intended for pvp purposes, the community just made pvp a thing, the devs never intended this but it came out to be a big thing. everything 'combat' based was intended for killing mobs, I know its stupid, but also true.

No, this doesn't mean that you're bad at PVP in the slightest. I don't like Potion PVP either, so I sympathise with you. If you practice at any kind of PVP, I believe that you'll get better.I wish you the best.
