So I've gotten to Gold III before 750 points and it was because I bow spammed. I suck at melee in my opinion. Even though I can beat a lot of Gold III's in melee. I wanna be able to beat better ranks too like Emeralds and stuff. Sucks a lot imo that I have to die to Silvers though just because I'm bad at melee. I bow spam mostly and water bucket, I also lava spam. But I can't be good at melee for some odd reason no matter how fast I click "9 to 12 Cps" and no matter how good I strafe or W tap. So I'm just a bow spamming loser who only got to Gold III once from bow spamming my ass off. Meanwhile people like Tylarzz got to Masters while only doing melee mostly. And almost no bow at all except for kill shots or a little bit. And I have to bow spam a whole damn round just to win against Silvers too sometimes. HOW?! I doubt anyone here knows the answer unless they are some what good at PvP. Or there a Diamond rank player who doesn't bow spam.Posted on 23 December 2016 - 03:51 PM
Practice, try playing other ladders that are pure melee based like GApple or NoDebuff to get better with a sword to the point to where you shouldn't need to rely on a bow. That's how I got better at melee and it seems to have worked really well.Posted on 23 December 2016 - 04:10 PM

Yes you could play more sword kits but as much as I hate so say there isn't a quickway. Danteh has played since season 4/5 I believe and has spent countless hours playing HCF and other gamemodes. Yes there are things that could improve you quickly like a new good mouse and a good PC but that won't get you very far. It's all about practice.(I'm really bad at build but I'm one of those few people who doesn't play like someone is going to kill their family if they lose)

stupid thread to be honest, if you aren't good you aren't good. clearly if you have to bow spam and lava spam to achieve GOLD 3, and claim to have tried every melee technique and are still bad, the answer is simple. you aren't good at melee and likely never will be.do you think I can just ask "how do I get super good aim like ScreaM and kennyS" and expect for someone to give me a helpful response? no, it's because I'm not as good as ScreaM and kennyS.

If you've been playing for all this time and you still can't get a high rating, maybe you have just hit your peak. No matter how much practice you put in, if you don't have much natural skill then you aren't going anywhere. You aren't timing w tapping right if you claim to not be good at melee. Danteh and Tylarzz aren't the best at sword either, I'd recommend watching a couple of good potpvpers just to get the timing right.also don't forget to aim jajaja

I'm not quite sure I follow your logic here.
You're saying that it's stupid to aspire to be better than you already are? In particular, you're saying that if I were to ask, "How do I do as well in school as A or B," it'd be unfounded since I'm not already as good as those individuals.
If that's the case, then why would anyone play a competitive game in the first place? If you suck in the first place (which almost any new player would), according to your logic, it's highly unlikely that you'd ever get better, especially since you cannot ask how the "good" players play.
