It's a pretty commonly understood concept, but I think I first became interested in studying it in depth earlier this year, in January and February.

I was thinking of getting my older brother the new game Skyrim, but I wanted to make sure he liked it, so I looked up some videos on Youtube and started watching them. I came across this guy known as TheTarionBesbald (https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCMK2wGR4szHhEwvYfdO53Ig) and I found him likable and funny and I clicked on his other stuff. Watched a couple videos, thought the game looked cool, bought it.

Some private bukkit server with friends. First notable public server was CthuluCraft.

Not really, although I didn't really ever play it much.

Competitively is a broad term. I played a lot of MCMMO OP factions servers (you know, the kind of servers that are all called _______Craft) and was ok at that, but those servers never stayed up for long. After server hopping for about a year, I settled down on the Overcast Network.

Some time in 2013, I think - my OCN teammate introduced it to me, and we would party up and queue up with kb2 swords and punch 2 bows and camp that one really aids netherrack map and it was a blast. I didn't play it much otherwise, and I got bored after about 2 hours of that, but I was reintroduced to it when they added an OCN ladder. I have played Badlion's server known as PotPvP, KitPvP, PracticePvP, and ArenaPvP ever since.

Changes every season to be honest, but I think Vanilla or Soup are my favorite kits when the server isn't laggy. I also like Diamond a lot.

Something in archer… 2471? Not sure, I don't think I ever reached 2500 though.

I was pretty good at OCN (today's Diamond) Season 3 when it first came out, I hovered around high 1600s low 1700s (which was a lot more impressive back then) pretty much all season. Then Iron OCN came out, and I didn't play it much, until I figured out this bow thing I called the "gun tactic" (everybody around here knows it as the dark rust, but I still stick to my claim that I invented the maneuver. Can't say that much now, cause everybody thinks I'm just being a cocky fuck, but after some research I'm confident I created it before him). After I figured that out, Iron OCN became a breeze, and I was constantly on top of that ladder.

Add skywars, add infinity to uhc, remove punch/kb from vanilla, add some food to sg, and remove a stack of blocks from build

That's an awfully odd question, considering everybody spawns in with the same kit for every ladder. It's not like Overwatch, where some heroes are overpowered and some are underpowered.

For altruistic purposes, I like to think. And even when I try to break that down, I can't find a reason besides I simply wanted to make the server better.
