Perm ranks = less concurrent revenue. The competitive scene does not generate enough to support lifetime ranks, but it does have far more consistent and loyal players for it to make premium ranks a very smart choice.

Badlion has a very good balance in arena, an extremely good balance if I might add. In current economic trends we saw a rise of pay to win things in general near the 2014-2015 period and nowadays the recent trends have been in free-to-play but still not pay-to-win. Badlion found the perfect balance between a system that both capitalizes on their strengths, makes it very playable for free players, but incentives premium players and creates a strong urge for that purpose. Another great example I have is spotify, great balance between free and premium. Gives you just enough to be able to do what you want and not quit, but also leaves that option available to you if you so desire.

financially they cannot be supported. 30 day ranks that you have to pay for monthly is going to certainly help them with development progress
