Whenever I enter a match in Arena PVP, I get disconnected from the server and the screen says:

Internal Exception: io.netty.handler.codec.DecoderException:java.io.IOException:Packet 0/69 (ie) was larger than I expected, found 11 bytes extra whilst reading packet 69

Someone please help me fix this problem.

That's a known bug with 1.11 and above.
