Ok I have a question.Why don't you guys just ban the words "cancer" "aids" and any toxic words? Rather then people go through the effort of writing reports and doing /report which does jack sh*t. So if someone typed, you're aids, a sentence comes up in chat saying you can't say that as we believe you are using a word we don't appreciate or something?
Here's some words I guess.
kys
cunt
aids
cancer
huge GG
big GG
faggot
I guess you can just keep adding to the list?

It's just words that aren't necessary no matter the situation. I'm sorry its badlion, no-ones gonna have some deep talk about how they got HIV Positive on minecraft. it will always be to insult another mineman. so why not just make the words invalid. yeah sure people will find new ways of typing it, like k-y-s but it'll sure reduce toxicity.
It will on average reduce toxicity. People in general will get tired and eventually, perhaps if this works perfectly, it will be near impossible to talk shit. Think about it, imagine it. Someone says something that bypasses it, a guy reports it, simply gets added to the banned words. Easy. Staff job goes easier cos they dont have to keep repeating their job. They do it once and its finished. Mods still have a job of frequently checking reports to add these words to the list.
I've quit MC but I had this in my head for a while so yeh.

Could be good but what if someone said something like "dont say kys" or "kys means kill yourself"? Could be good but I think it's better having moderators honestly. +1, as surprising as that sounds, this has been used on big servers and works extremly well. People usually say "kys" because they adapted it from others to make it kind of common. Once the abbreviation is banned (and also "k y s", "k ys" or whatever to evade the filter) people will start using it less and therefore trying to evade the filter less.Let's just take Hive as an example, I've played for it for a long time and even though their SG community was really toxic I have NEVER seen someone telling me to kill myself because the words were banned from the start. They switched over to "sad" "kid" or whatever because all of the insults were banned and they cba to avoid it or it was simply not possible; this made the community less toxic than it wanted to be.
And let's assume you're raging hard, you go and tell the player to "kys". Then you realize it doesn't work. What do you do?
a) you try to evade the filter
b) you insult him with something different
c) you don't say anything
so let's say you try to evade the filter or insult him with something different, this
a) does not work either
b) is probably nicer than your previous insult as you're able to say it ("sad", "kid", "gay", whatever)
either way, this WILL reduce toxicity a ton.

Exactly?!?!? Why have moderators? They can be there to over view, cos people will still bypass etc. But lets be honest, for the last 2 seasons, mods have been absolute jack sh*t. I love moderators , I do and it's not their fault tbh. It's just how badlion is setup with different lobbies. Before it was Eu1, Eu2 Eu3 for example. 1-2 mods on each server, easy peasy job done. Now there's like 8 lobbies? idk i don't play anymore? Plus /report is practically useless. Also, we still need moderators to spec for hackers etc. This just makes everyone's life easier.-Mods dont waste time.
-Salty pricks become nicer pricks.
-Less toxicated community.
