Highly doubt it. Minecraft is not competitive mainly because of cheaters. BL Premium will solve this though, but even with that I doubt they would pay like $40 for a Minecraft account (yes, that's how much Minecraft costs now) and then pay each month for a premium service.

Minecraft isn't like other games where you can PvP and not worry about cheaters.

How can you even mention cheaters and then two words later state "BL Premium will solve this though"? ESL controls both ESEA and Badlion Premium, and are responsible for all of the CS:GO major tournaments. If cheaters aren't an issue for ESEA then they very likely won't be for Badlion Premium either.

I don't see how the CS:GO teams "not wanting to pay for a Minecraft account and not wanting to pay each month for a premium service" is an adequate argument at all, and I'll list why below.

1) The original poster of this thread asked if they will be RECRUITING members, for example if Cloud9 requested for Danteh, Tylarzz and Huahwi to join their new "Minecraft Pro Team".
2) Professional CS:GO players would have to purchase the game ($15) and pay monthly for ESEA (unless they get it for free). Even in the argument "$40>$15", you can obtain full access Minecraft accounts for $1.

I doubt minecraft will ever be competitive enough for teams to Draft players. It doesn't require much skill and it would just come down to mainly luck and how two people's play styles match.

You seriously think if esports teams wanted to get involved with minecraft a $40 fee would stop them?

I understand you can get FA's for real cheap, but they'd probably want it to come with a TID so they have full control over it.

And when I said Minecraft isn't competitive, I was talking about Minecraft specifically, not other games like CS…kind of confused of what you were trying to state there.

And for the recruitment part, Danteh and all the people that PvP are YouTubers, not really competitive players. And Danteh doesn't even play Minecraft anymore I believe, so

No, I'm saying it's a ridiculous price for ONE person. Sure you can get FA's for way cheaper, but they would probably want it to come with a TID (not sure if FA's these days come with them or not)

That's why they can just hire current players who is already good at the game.

I doubt most would accept, since most people that are "good" at this game are youtubers or cheaters.

Sorry, but I don't see it happening any time soon, if ever.
Like, its weird

The way I think of it

CS:GO was made to have competitive qualities ever since source was popular

LoL was just a well designed game with a great idea and was made from the start with a competitive aspect in mind

Minecraft was well, made to be a building game, sandbox survival, etc. No way was that the intention mojang had when launching the game. It's just, well not exactly made for combat. It is what it is.

I don't even understand what you are talking about, who do you mean, who is "they"? Who are the people who will need to buy Minecraft accounts? Do you not realise that CS:GO teams will be RECRUITING players? They aren't going to make people from CS:GO teams start playing Minecraft… they would recruit people off of the Badlion leaderboards… I think you've completely missed the point. Also, I don't see how the players I mentioned being youtubers has any relevance whatsoever, I was merely providing an example.

Your argument is cringeworthy. Badlion Premium is clearly going to fix the cheating issue, and good players being youtubers is completely irrelevant. Many professional CS:GO players are youtubers.

Why does it matter if they are YouTubers a lot of competitive players are YouTubers.
