Also, I've been playing Badlion for 2 years with ELO and I think the change to MMR was much needed.

So upload people who are 6 times worse than you?
Speedily ( Pretty sure he got up to 2600 build elo in Season 12) is fighting people that are possibly worse than 1400
That system is worse than elo

You just said he had 2600 Elo in S12, yet you are still trying to argue that he got it from grinding silvers and bronzes. You couldn't really do that with elo so i dont know what you are trying to say.

I think @Hivlik brings up a very good point. I believe, as do many others, that you guys have done extensive research and that MMR likely has a number of advantages over ELO; however it is really difficult to fully convince ourselves of that without knowing how the MMR system works. The numbers (x/1000) helped some but it still seems as though the whole formula is being hidden behind a lot of vague phrases and mystery that ultimately make it harder for members of the community to convince ourselves that this is the optimal system. A more clear explanation of the math and components of the "MMR formula" would help quite a bit.
