As you can see I lost to someone a rank below me. This should never happen, If I win against someone who's a 1 rank higher I don't gain 211, I gain 90. If a Emerald V Beats a Emerald I then they should get 214, Not when a Emerald V beats an Emerald IV. You should fix this in season 15.

Losing to players who are "worse" than you just shows you're inconsistant, and to be a "good" pvper you should overcome the challenge of inconsistancy

Also MMR is a pretty good system so I see no reason to change it

nah, if you read the thread, you would note that hexxit was discussing the disproportionate amount of rating he loses.

It mathematically makes sense because he was a somewhat high em4 while the guy he faced was in the low for em5

Imo I dont think minecraft MMR points should differentiate whether or not you lose 211 to a person who's a rank below you, A rank should at least.

That makes sense, but it all comes down to opinion at the end of the day, and all the ELO/MMR systems try to do is represent skill. MMR has points between each rank, but that only helps determine skill more accurately.

Since you played against someone considered lower skilled than you, you were expected to win. Since you didn't, you were taxed more than usual.
