Okay imma delite this thread after someone responds to meSo everyone knows about NotTodaySir guy with 4k points in build
Okay so i was just watching his match history and like every guy that he fighs is like low rank between silver1 and bronze
so that was weird to me because isn't he supposted to be getting like in between masters and emr1
So i'm just wondering if hes using a tactic of sort or is it only luck or bug or something other

Probably because he plays when no one is on or there were simply no high ranked players during that time he was playing.Posted on 10 January 2017 - 03:45 PM
I'm using a very smart tactic which allows me to only queue silvers and bronzes!!!!!!! Just no. If you say that I only queue silvers and bronzes you haven't even looked through my first page yet. And everyone thats masters queues low ranked people often cause otherwise we would have to sit in queue for hours.Last edited on 10 January 2017 - 05:11 PM by Ilidan_Stormrage
I got through like 6 pages of build matches and i saw like couple 50 poins and every match that isn't 50 i clicked it was silvers and bronzes i guess that it was just "luck" i guessPosted on 11 January 2017 - 01:41 PM
That's actually really strange, I always go against people within a few ranks of me, I have no idea how a Masters would end up fighting Bronzes, it literally makes no sense unless they are the only 2 in the queue for a solid few minutes. Either EU Arena is just completely dead (dunno, don't play it) or something is really wrong with the matchmaking code.Posted on 11 January 2017 - 05:06 PM
Dude hes getting only high ranks like every 3rd or 4th game or when t arena has over 3k players every 2ndPosted on 11 January 2017 - 05:29 PM

The matchmaking currently works so that people get matched with someone close to their rank, then every 5-15 seconds (I don't remember exactly) the range expands so you can fight someone higher or lower and this continues for 30 seconds I think, where you can match anyone in the queue.Only the really high and really low ranks are likely to queue for over 30 seconds in build without someone nearer their rank joining the queue first, so both will be trying to match with any other opponent at the same time, which matches them together.
This is a bit hard to follow (just the way I explained it sorry) but I'm pretty sure it's correct.

@Ads_ is right, I'll try and explain it more clearlyThe matchmaker searches for people that are near your amount of points, if it cant find you someone after around 25 or so seconds It will just put you against anyone.
If you are Diamond V it will be able to easily find an emerald opponent for you to be put against, however NotTodaySir is Masters 4000 points, so it tries searching for insanely high rated players (idk how high exactly, if I had to guess it would be like Diamond IV or higher.) It usually wont find anyone within the first 25 or so seconds due to the lack of extremely high rated players, so it will just put him against anyone, it could even a Bronze V xd.
This is why masters players usually fight extremely low rated players compared to most high emerald or low diamond players, it cant find an opponent that is close to masters so it just puts them against anyone.
Idk if im right on this or not, but yea correct me if im wrong :v
