No one can deny this community is not what it once was. The player count has gone down, fewer videos are being made, and overall interest in Minecraft has decreased to the point where the inevitable death of this game looms in the near future.

Now you can make the generic arguments "the community sucks", "it is inevitable", or "it happens to every game." But honestly, it all boils down to one simple reason; you lot are a bunch of mean people. I go on Youtube sometimes and Minecraft videos pop up (since I used to watch them) and I see small youtubers (<500 subs) making videos followed by comments like "Your videos suck please stop making them". If Stimpy made a 30 second video of himself shitting into a cup, y'all would make .png files of his shit and put them in your texture packs. But if anyone tries to make their own content, start a channel, do something different, you lot go nuts telling them they're awful, that they should kill themselves (which was never a funny joke by the way).

This isn't about hurting feelings; by stifling the new generation, you've practically killed your own game and your own community. I used to play years ago, and I had a close-knit group of friends that I enjoyed the game with. I made videos and never had a bunch of subs, but I had a damn good time and was having FUN. I don't know what's happened to you now, but the game's no longer a game; it's become a place for people to act tough, even though come on guys, it's Minecraft, seriously? Just yesterday, I saw someone's channel who made a montage of his fights, and since it wasn't edited the mainstream way everyone edits videos, people commented how trash it was, etc. Freedom of speech is great, but that doesn't mean what you say doesn't have consequences. Again, this isn't about hurting one person's feelings; just look at the lack of youtube content (as compared to before) and how the player base has dropped dramatically. So congratulations, you all have killed your own game, I truly hope you're happy.

How hard is it to see someone's content, leave a like, and be like "Nice vid! Maybe try this next time?" So much better than "awful kid just quit already" isn't it? But I guess this thread is pretty pointless because people are going to comment "it's just an opinion, don't be a wimp everyone's mean on the internet you pleb" because they are ignorant. So if you're those select few that are mature enough and care about others and want your game to not die as quickly, prove it. Go on youtube, find some small youtuber, and leave them a positive comment and encourage them. I'm looking at the older players especially, this responsibility falls squarely on your shoulders (that is, if you care at all). It is way too late to save this game, it's going to die, but you can make its end nice and sweet rather than the fiery inferno it's about to end in.

Oh and if anyone cares, I used to play years ago, I was a mod on here at some point, basically a nobody but I sure enjoyed my time on this game. Just thought I'd get this out there.

So by having mutes from 2015 and 2016 which are 4 months old you still think im toxic? the only serious mute I have is suicide encouragement when my friend typed KYS in chat while he was at my place and then another irl friend reported me as a joke.
Do you think people can't change in the period of 4 months? If you kept up with my videos I said I don't want to have anymore beef with anyone and that I want to become a better person but clearly you don't care as you are judging me from a punishment page on a minecraft server.

Thank you for making this thread. People would rather shout down whatever isnt in "the norm" or exactly what they like. Its is annoying and pointless as we are all human beings and we all have to live on earth together like it or not. If people would accept other's differences and find good in them instead of insulting them for being different maybe life would be a little easier on all of us. I understand that this is only a block game however it has become something for me personally, I have met unimaginable friends here and Im grateful for that.This is a game that has brought millions of people together and the second it has a chance to go into competitive style people make it out to be a horrible thing. Competitive or not this is a game that was never supposed to be this way, It was a simple game for people who enjoyed playing with others and doing their own things. It does not have to be such a toxic community after all, If we support and care for each other rather than try and bring everyone else down we can make this community such friendlier place. People tend to look on the negative side of things because its easier however, its not always the right way. We are all people playing the game for different reasons, Maybe we can realize that we can enjoy the game a little more if we share our happiness and positive feelings rather than the negative ones. We have the potential to make this a great community, we just have to take that potential and use it correctly.

I just pointed out you're a hypocrite, even if your mutes are a few months old. And there's no proof your friend did it (not sure why you'd let them use your profile, I'm sure you have alts). Seems to me "Youtuber Rank" is lying to make himself look better.
