I admit that i'm usually a toxin, I don't really mind losing in ranked but what sets me off is if it's to someone who's cheating (By that I don't just mean using a hacked client, I also mean people that camp, run out buffs/debuffs etc)

I can say without a doubt that KarliXon is one of the least toxic players on the boards right now, he hasn't had a legitimate mute in months even while being a regular player. There are plenty of toxic players in the community right now, Karl isn't one of them

LOOOOOL at least i'm not a cocky kid who gets muted on his main for 3 years and gets on his alt to tell multiple people to kill themselves good job much respect for the #1 player on badlion. You show what this community is like, a pity the top player had to be such an arrogant prick. Barely respects staff too, seems the only one you actually respect is freek (May as well mention that requests for checking GCheat logs has not been allowed for a while, but freek will do it just because you got these minecraft points :/)
Try changing your personality for the better because it's really shitty, wave after wave of minecraft ego, posting videos trash talking others, the list goes on. Not a good look for Badlion.

tbh the AU community is GROWING not dying surprisingly, i remember last year the servers would get 40-60 players but now we get from 80-120

This is not the reason. LoL is just as toxic. Minecraft, specifically bad lion, is just boring. There isn't enough changes done. There isn't enoufh interest. Minecraft only makes the pvp game worse as updates occur not helping anything, forcing decent players to stay on an outdated version. Badlion arena pvp was never meant to be a server on its own pretty much, it's meant to be a supplement for hcf servers. Badlion is inherently boring, and that's why they are declining. They need something to replace the gap of kohi which once was.

probably a lot of them, a good example is dreamer, he e-dates a girl over minecraft and puts on a fake gang member kinda accent when hes around certain people. Really weird guy imo ;v

To summarize my thoughts:

1. Generation Z is responsible for their own misgivings, us Millenials didn't cause it.

Generation Z = Anyone born after 2000

The Millenials = Anyone born before 2000

It's more or less a fact that as you go down the age ladder you start to see a higher percentage of immaturity, and Generation Z is a powerful example of it. Generation Z (Which for the sake of the argument consists of people 16 and under) is the main reason Minecraft and Badlion are so toxic. You won't see it as much at the high end of age (14-16) but as it goes down you see more and more of the same thing: Children being improperly raised by their parents and turning into antisocial jerks on the internet. They like dabbing, phones and have no clue how to actually interact in the real world. Of course this is true for all children but the arrival of social media has only made things worse, you see now that a large portion of kids get bad inspiration from trying to intimidate teenagers (And to a lesser extent Millenials) and proceed to devolve their own Generation into nothing but shits and giggles. They're the "sweaty kids" you see flaming you in a block game, they're the hackers, they're the immature brats who make a joke out of their appeal. It is NOT for a large part the Millenials (17+) like you seem to imply in that:



The younger kids have screwed themselves over by trying to replicate what they don't understand and trying to think they know what "eSports" are. Millenials are not responsible for this though stuff like shitposting and making bad influence in the first certainly doesn't help our credibility. But then again we're not properly represented here, Generation Z takes up a LARGE portion of Minecraft's population in general because by now most Millenials like myself are prioritizing High School and College instead of a dying block game. It happens.

2. No matter what you do, if a game is competitive there will be toxicity

No-brainer right here, tell me one competitive game that doesn't have toxicity. For millions of years animals have had a built in "lose or die" button because of Natural Selection, and seeing that in an environment built around competition, young age and stress isn't surprising in the least. No matter what we do toxicity will always be here and always be bad.

3. Minecraft is on a downwards slope no matter what and asking a small group of players on a Badlion forum isn't going to do anything to change what Mojang has reaped upon themselves through lack of appreciation for what Competitive can offer.

Not even going to add context to this one, kids move on to the next big thing and Minecraft is losing its grip on them. They've quite simply run out of stuff to add and aren't investing in competitive. That's it.

Oh and yeah, Badlion isn't shrinking because of the community being toxic, it's because Generation Z is getting bored with Minecraft in general and putting their attention into Twitter and mobile gaming. No big surprise.

4. Harsh criticism is a part of life. Deal with it.



…? So you want people to be happy all the time, not upset that they wasted 3 minutes or had to listen to something they don't like? You think the antisocial and uncaring minds of Generation Z will give a shit about hurting someone's feelings when they have no clue about real ramifications? And further more, you're pointing towards people who would call you out for babying bad content and are calling them ignorant?

I think I'm done here. Optimism is good in some cases but that isn't always the answer.
