Well, after a long hard day of losing match after match to sweat after sweat, people who play like their life is on the line, and people that get double hits every time they hit without even rodding, I've decided it's time to stop. Arena may be fun for many players but for others like me who just want to have fun it cannot happen. I've made a joke with myself. Insert cringe comments now, I'll read them later. But I've made a joke with myself. Every time I find someone who uses more than 48 arrows, a stack of blocks, uses aura or something else blatantly, or lavas like a bitch, I add a cut to my wrist. I don't actually do this, but in my mind I've killed more than forty of me. I was a huge supporter of Premium since the beginning, and I still am, but I don't think I'll be playing on it much. Cheaters won't exist there, but that's only 1/4 of my problems above.Suppose I'll talk about the whole problem with people sweating and playing like their life is on the line.
This is a competitive server; you're supposed to try hard. But some take it way too far. It's only been this season where I've seen multiple players "sweating" against me. I don't know if that came from MMR or anything, but one thing I will link it to is the new matchmaker. It's doing a fine job putting people around their rank against each other but doing that has become very counter-productive. People have been put against people around their skill level, and while that's great and all, the amount of items in the Build UHC kit make it very easy to "sweat" and play like an absolute bitch. Water buckets spread to 7 blocks very quickly, in about 5 seconds. Lava does 4 hearts to a player with no armor; lava does about 1-2 hearts to someone in full diamond. 64 arrows needs to change, the poll answers say 32 is the best choice. I've had plenty of games where it's just me and the other person bowing at each other and them jump-shotting and whenever you try to go around them to backstab they just turn around and you're back where you started. What I'm trying to say is people have taken "competitive" to an entirely new level, they want to win so badly that they actually use the stupidest tactics and play like a bitch every single game. I try to be more straightforward when I play, meaning I just melee rush them and we exchange a few times and eventually I win/the other player wins. I doubt MMR would be as hated if it wasn't associated with the matchmaker causing people to play like this.
So that's that. I'm done with arena for a long time. I might play some in S15 but never much. SG is really fun though. If you ever see me on it'll be on SG.

i understand what you're talking about, and you're wrong.
it doesnt take that many build matches to realize that people like to use their utilities.

But as I said some take it too far. People want a flint & steel to make opponents go back and water but they don't want them to get glitched in four blocks of cobble and just not have a chance.
