I'm not the only one wondering what the hell happened to the old Badlion. The server which was the best server for PvP, the one which was competitive and fun in the same time, the one with a clean community and good staff.
Badlion's player base dropped hard af and that's not because kids have school or stopped playing Minecraft. It is because the ignorance of the owners. The owners who fucked the whole rating / queue system, the whole competitve aspect of the game and the pvp itself.
"You don't know how much work the staff members do". Well, in this case it would've be better if they didn't do anything to s12.
The owners used Premium as an excuse because the server became trash and they know that very well. Now the server has more hackers at 2k players than it had at 13k. Ghost clients are being updated every week but GCheat didn't get updated since s12 and Premium is not an excuse anymore.
You ignored Karlixon's thread about bringing back the elo / queue system which had a shit ton of support because "it is never coming back".
You know what else is not coming back on your server? Those 10k players. You're ignoreing good ideas and approve the retarded ones like sg 2.1 and the arena kb being good. I don't know what was so hard to keep s11 / 12. The funny part of this whole story is that you're joking about server being shit without looking at your own server. I think that's why it became shit and you put a limited amount of unranked matches, right? Because it brings no more money to you anymore. That's why you invented Badlion Premium and used is as an excuse. Premium will be clear for max 1 month but after that somebody will find out a new sort of ghost client that your anti cheat won't find and it will become as trash as the public server is now. If you want to say that the public Badlion is without hackers then look at the leaderboards. Who the fuck are those kids? SkyAlt played till Diamond and then got banned manuel ( Not GCheated ) while using blatant settings. It's no wonder that players like Danteh and Doe left the game. Danteh who was the best player in s12 got only gold 1 this season before resetting his stats and randys like 90exe and other 9 year olds are masters. It makes no sense. When Badlion was great the leaderboards were the same for 2-3 seasons. The server started getting down after s12. If you want back those 10k players, better do something with your server or it will die faster than mcsg. I don't wanna talk about the kb and hit reg being shit because the staff players who play arena know that really well. If you're gonna keep ignoring the good ideas and approve the ones from the 1200 elo / silver IV players, good luck to make your server better than MCSG was.
Now I am just going to wait for the hate comments from the 8 year olds or silver IV players because they're the community now, right?

Pretty well said but if they change it they won't change it back and will continue to support their advancements against the thoughts of top playersThat being said, on things like arena a lot of good players don't care anymore because of things that won't be changed back like elo and the old queueing system while other players think they're beasts for rising to the top against no competition. Between things like that, KB, more spanish players on na, etc it's not as equal for various reasons.
Assuming premium is what they hype it up to be, you have to look at a few things
1. Premium will probably not keep a consistent 1000 players (my guess)
2. Premium client might not perform the same way as people expect it to be, like where it's supposed to have a 1.7 feel but things like Labymod promise a similar experience and fail
3. Some plot holes with the setup for premium
If premium does work as it should, the amount of players on premium should gradually increase even as the donor ranks run out and it might be good and successful assuming there's no lag spikes, 128 tps is truly smooth, 5v5 pugs actually succeed, etc.
So while they won't change back on open and are basically disregarding it they're hopefully trying to fix their mistakes for premium where it'll actually matter what competitive players say but they're still probably not going to care whether or not we like what they change

When a change happens, there will always be people who critisise it. But the point is to continue moving forward and innovating. Without change, innovation can not happen and we will forever be living in a society that has the same technologies as before.
Whenever a drastic change happens, people don't like it. But instead of whining about it, you should use your brains on how to work the system to your own advantage. You are whining about ELO from being removed because you knew how to take advantage of the system and don't know how to take advantage of MMR.
this is dumb
if people still criticize it months after the change has been made and top players leave because of it then that's probably not a good change for the competitive community
"taking advantage" of elo was being good and consistent while "taking advantage" of mmr is being able to kill silvers and having 1000 hours

they left because their skill doesn't matter anymore and it's too boring for them to sit there for hours grinding idiots all day and i've been here for 7 seasons or so and haven't noticed any of the "benefits" that should've came with mmr

You're not even playing arena but you argue with a top player. You don't know anything about competitive pvp and how trash arena became. It was 10 times easier for me to kill a 2400 elo player than a gold 1 and that's bs

you still have to remember that something like premium will change the game like the various locations and forcing people onto the lowest common proxy and it should be reasonably hard to cheat + if 5v5 pug actually takes off and competitive with esl does become up to scale with other games then nobody will play arena and the mmr and queueing wont matter so that's probably what they're hoping because of the backlash from mmr kb and queueingPosted on 01 February 2017 - 02:17 PM

yeah and guaranteed half the players who will get free premium time will make up excuses like "client makes me lag" or "it's glitched" or just say it sucks because they can't cheat and will be complete trash like most of the uhc community

If someone is bronze and 1200 on an alt, the main is max silver 2 and 1300. Autism kills.
