Badlion needs a change.

And no, this is NOT a rage thread which is how it looks like from the first few sentences, please take your time to read through it all -suggested changes for every gamemode to make it better at the bottom

The top players left because this MMR thing is boring and promotion/demotion matches just annoy you so much, there was no "abuse" of the ELO system, like ffs over here you can have 4000-2000 in buildUHC and still be up in diamond 5+, which in season 12 would be like 1800 max, depending on who you lose to/who you win against, imo idc if ELO is not as "advanced" as MMR but from what I see the only people who want MMR are ihacklite and the people with under emerald 5 in build which can have around gold 1-2 with a like 900-650 KDR which makes absolutely no sense, why isnt the MMR system so rewarding in UHC Meetup or Survival Games? Over here you can literally lose every second game and still keep going up in the ranks to a certain extent but on UHC Meetup or SG you would just drop down to bronze V 0 points if you kept losing every other game - the system should work in a way to reward players who can keep on playing good consistently(correct me if I'm wrong here but there was some sort of win streak multiplier before?), ELO was far more entertaining and addicting to grind and was honestly so much more fun to play with. Another thing which makes this season un-enjoyable is the queing system, why would you make it like this? The insta-queue before was way better and obviously way faster, if you are quick enough you can actually abuse this system and choose who you want to fight and not(when it says found match you have to insta disconnect and the following msg will pop up for the enemy player: waiting for all players to join the game, if they don't join in 15 seconds it will be a tie game. With this you can manipulate queues if you have fast enough reflexes, I did this to cheaters in nodebuff or any other ladder sometimes. The only good thing added in this season is the 45 second NCP when you disconnect AFTER getting tp'd into a game - very useful for me as my game crashes so much when changing servers which was implemented in Season 14 aswell(being tped to a different server every time you join a match) and it is honestly kinda annoying - yea it will ensure it isn't lagging but it locks your chat to only your match which is not useful imo - the worst thing here is that you can't /list or press tab to see online mods which was one of the most useful things to me in Season 12 as if I queued a cheater I would simply pm a mod to come spec me and in most cases they would be nice and just say sure then tp and ban if he is cheating after the match - meanwhile using /report did absolutely nothing to me, I have a friend who was a mod before and I saw how they deal with "Killaura" reports, they just ignore them and move on to the ones which have 2x(indicating the player has been reported 2 times in a certain period of time), he has told me most mods do this, so when every staff members says use /report we all know that won't really work as good - I know that the mods simply CANT check all the reports and this was implemented to stop staff members from being spammed in PMS but most of the staff members were nice and just tp'd to me if I asked them to - for some reason there is also like 999 lobby servers for Arena - the chat is being seperated and it honestly annoys me so much, most of the times the chat is dead and not everyone on the server will see your msgs. It is basically impossible to /stats a player unless they happen to be in the exact same lobby as you, and you can't /stats offline players(why hasn't this been added yet? It has been suggested months ago and the answer was: "this will be worked on very soon")
From what I see GCheat also isn't what it used to be before and sometimes doesn't even ban people flying around the map/going faster than they should be(speed hacks) - isn't this atleast somewhat simple to detect/ban for? I'm not coding professional but couldn't you just make an algorithm which would detect if someone is moving faster than x(x being the max possible speed with speed 2/whatever the fastest could be when being knocked far away). Another thing is that some people are just getting some massive reach - I would suggest the same way but people can get hits from far away/delayed hits due to their connection being bad/fucked over on purpose to abuse their lag meaning it wouldn't be possible, but why isn't something like this used for anti-knockback? If the user is not taking any knockback/being moved back in x y or z coords why doesn't he just get banned after setting off a few checks of not moving? I know the answer to this part will be oh clients have improved and gcheat has to catch up to them and I understand when it comes to stuff like aim-assist and kb modifiers reducing your knockback by a certain percent and not removing it completely, but can gcheat really not ban people who hit you from 6 blocks(max reach on most clients) and take absolutely 0 kb(anti knockback hack basically). I'm starting to lose hope this server will be as popular/have as many players as back in S9-S12 days where at one point EU literally had to have 5 arena server because at nights EU1,2,3 and 4 would be on 1000/1000 players and EU5 would be on around 750 - meaning there is atleast 4750 people on EU arena, lets say around 2500-ish on NA arena, around 1000 in UHC's all around the network, around 200ish in SG servers, 200ish in MiniUHC and like 50+ in every "FFA" thing like UHC FFA,SG FFA etc, with some afk players here and there - the network peaked around like 10k players at once if not even more(Correct me on this one). Nowadays the network peaks about 5-6k AT MAX and most of those are in UHC's. Why you might ask? Because the only MAJOR change to your server has been on ArenaPvP and don't tell me you see the numbers declining by a lot from Season 12 - congratulations on having more people in UHC, SG and the recent UHC Meetup gamemode(which is something that should be focused on a bit more seeing as its very popular - maybe rewarding the users with more than just 1 reroll after winning; a simple idea: a non donator wins a uhc meetup - gets 10 free ranked matches on Arena which would encourage non donators to come back to arena servers). Arena is now being overtaken by UHC which never used to happen before as said earlier.

Another part I wanted to go to was the main arenapvp lobby which is such an overkill - yea it looks pretty cool and all that but my FPS isn't that cool after being in that lobby - I have a decent computer which runs at 200+ fps in most fights at 8 render distance, smooth lighting on max and graphics on fancy - should run pretty good in a lobby right? No. I am lucky if I get 60 fps stable in the arena lobby in fullscreen, lets not even talk about when I'm recording - this lobby should just be changed to something more simplistic which could fit into Badlion's default 4 chunk render distance loading thing and should be TESTED BY MULTIPLE PEOPLE WITH DIFFERENT SYSTEMS to prevent any sort of FPS lag on the lobby - every lobby before this didn't look as good but it made my fps like 3x better and I would rather have a bad looking lobby and good fps than a good looking lobby but around 40-50 fps in it.

UHC is becoming more and more popular which I would say is good for the network but it is once again impossible to play if you don't have an insane setup which can run arena servers at 400-500+ FPS - I get around 70-85 fps with the antixray while playing on the lowest settings and I get around 50-70 while recording - the anti-xray is working good though as not every xray texture pack or huzuni bypasses it anymore - idk if UHC 6.0 got released yet but if it didn't it should hopefully fix the issues remaining with it

Survival Games 2.1 - This has to be one of the dumbest things I have ever seen - you have MMR to make the gamemode competitive but you allow teaming in an FFA game? SG 2.0 was far better imo with teaming being bannable in solo games and having to2 games FOR A REASON - you are saying being solo will reward you more and make you rankup faster but from how much MMR you lose after dying in a game to a to2 isn't really rewarding right?

Now that I am over with "complaining about everything" let me give you some suggestions on how to improve this as most posts/threads like this just get replied with: give us some constructive criticism

I know it seems like you are making a good step for Badlion but seeing as most top players don't play Arena because of its changes now doesn't really look that good

ArenaPvP changes to make it better
- Bring back ELO and remove the MMR system
- Make the queing system instant/expand way faster than S14(this is for archybot, you always say how we badlion players complain about long queues and how you wait in queues for like 15+ minutes for games but do Badlion ranked matches last 30+ minutes like Heroes of the storm or overwatch?)
- Make everything one lobby again
- Add staff online to the tab list
- If you are keeping MMR atleast make it so when you join an actual match you can see your rating in numbers aswell(0-1000) and not have it just as Emerald V for example
- Remove Horse and add back kits like IronBuild and Skywars(yes skywars doesn't seem competitive and seems luck based but it had skill involved in it like fast building, IronBuild wasn't just Build v2 without any lava, it was a scenario you would be in at a start of the UHC battle phase/after a kill or two)
- Add back the dark blue name (just a personal wish, imo it was pretty cool)
- Remove the punch 2 enchant from the bow in vanilla and remove fishing rods for the kit
- Make it so you can't have more than 2 stacks of enderpearls in pot kits to get rid of people running out buffs/running
- Remove 16 arrows from BuildUHC and maybe one lava bucket( I swear I will get so much hate for this but idrc, had to be said)
- Make the lobby more simple and more FPS-friendly
- Make it so you can't leave the server when it says: ranked match found someone vs someone so you can't manipulate ranked games anymore
Most staff members who I know have left/abandoned Season 14 because of the changes which occured - less staff members meaning less hackers being banned meaning more angry players who lose to hackers meaning more people quitting

UHC changes to make it better:
- More staff members/more experienced staff members which can detect what a hack is quicker
- Less FPS-intensive anticheat tehnique(anti xray)
- Host more games rather than over-filling one game and making it lag for 30 minutes


Survival Games changes to make it better:
- Remove only FFA Games
- Add back FFA and to2 queues so players can choose what to play instead of being killed by a team of 2 in an FFA game
- Make it so you don't lose so much MMR after losing a single game and not getting as much after winning
- Remove the thing where every player is "riding" before the game starts - completely fucks over togglesneak sprint and makes you get to a chest after regular players

UHC Meetup changes to make it better:
- Reduce the amount of flame weapons, maybe even remove flame bows completely
- Reduce the amount of fire res potions aswell
- Make the items despawn after some time for better FPS
- Decrease the enchant levels(prot and sharp) - some final fights are like 3/4 prot IV and Sharp 4/5 which would never be seen in a regular UHC - https://youtu.be/Ouc477EKRDU?t=9m14s <— Example

There was a strawpoll posted in all of the biggest clans' chats and on twitter to see if people prefer MMR or ELO and ELO was winning by 86% with the strawpoll having around 900 votes

I'd assume you're talking about chat lobbies? S15 is just gonna have 1 big chat lobby. Regarding "- Add staff online to the tab list" this isn't possible simply because there's no place for it in the tab, /list is gonna show mods on every arena server rather the one you're in like it is now

Yeah I'm talking about chat lobbies, nice to hear this is being added back in S15. Regarding the staff online I was thinking of something in the tab list but as you say there isn't any space maybe a command to see all the staff members online?

I agree on UHC meetup changes and Arena changes.



Also in arena and SG its play time based. If you play alot even if you have shit kdr you get a high rank. Now I don't like this and idk if its just me. And I'd say BL should increase the amount of points when you lose and decrease the amount of points when you get a kill.

Also wins should give some points(idk how this would be made)

I can give many examples of people that are bad but they have good ranks just because they played alot.

Plenty of other games have this, but it doesn't annoy you because it's hidden. Would you rather have hidden rating?

I'm pretty sure if you win 50% (every second) of the SG/UHCM games you play, you'll be ontop of the leaderboards. Certainly not at Bronze V.

It is unreasonable to expect staff members to check on every PM they get about a suspected cheater. Reports are simply the second-best option.

I agree with this. Feels like you're disconnected from a big part of the players.

If your suggestion to detect cheating starts with "can't they just" then the answer is no.

What's a "regular player"? If no one can use togglesneak then shouldn't that make it even for everyone? Besides, you can just toggle your sprint as soon as the game starts.

Agreed. There seem to be a lot more fire weapons than you'd ever see in a normal UHC.

If this happens I am %100 sure you will complain a lot. The people who will spawn with fire weapons will be EXTREMELY OP. I think current one is all right. You cant make everything perfect on fire weapons and potions.

Also I would like to add that "Toggle-able lightning death" If you dont have a decent pc (like me for example) when someone dies and lightning strucks on them, you get a 1-2 sec fps lag or your game freezes. I and the people who doesnt have good pc usually gets annoyed by this so much.

I know some of you will say that "cant you disable thıs on optifine". I looked into every single settings and I couldnt be able to find it. If you are sure how to disable it, please let me know. I really need it.

No top player likes mmr bc it's mad ez and boring. Ik archy will say that they don't plan on moving back to elo bc all of the middle/averagely skilled players prefer it, however if you are trying to make badlion more competitive, wouldn't u want the input of the best players?
