new launcher

So I've got the new launcher but I can't play 1.7.2, it will load the game but it has no sounds and normally where the minecraft icon would be is replaced by white/blue/black boxes. If I try to add forge it won't even open. Any of y'all know anything I can do? This is only for 1.7.2 as well, 1.8 and forge 1.8 work fine.Posted on 10 February 2017 - 02:03 PM

I have 3 or so times. I ended up noticing it said on the default pack that the pack.mcmeta was missing but couldnt find a fix for that on google.

I guess it's just buggy for now. It hasn't been out for that long so I guess they'll fix it quickly
