So I was thinking about a app or something that is on your phone that will notify you if there is a upcoming uhc game or something of that general idea. This is a good idea but I'm not sure how much it would cost to develop an app like that.Neutral.

This is a great idea. But, it would take away time and money that is too valuable to be spent on things other than the main serverThis is a great idea for the future, and I think it'll help move the community forward +1

I mean, you could always just cache the data when they open the app with a max of 30 or so minutes. Could even be a few hours.
All you would have to do is record the times the UHC's start, cache that, then keep checking the time compared to the current time. Meaning, the only reason you should need to perform a new request would be if the calendar is updated.
If anything, a web service that you host that you can poll whenever you please, which checks every 30 or so minutes for new games being added could be used.
Then Gberry won't massacre you for killing the DB with thousands of requests a minute c;
Would take me probs a few hours to make, but a bit busy atm… Might chuck it on the backburner for when i have free time, which is rare nowadays haha
But i agree that in the long run an API for these types of things would be useful. Possibly once everything is running smoothly we could take a look at this.
