I know the overwhelming majority of people will disagree with the premise of this thread… so hear me out, pls.There is a ridiculous amount of hype surrounding premium, and it's very, very clear the team is under a lot of stress to get it out as early as possible. I'm of the opinion that another week in development will be worth it either way. There's no way it's going to be fleshed out if they release it the second all the features have been implemented (some of which for the first time).
If it sucks because it's not fleshed out, then the hype will instantly die and the way the community takes premium will ultimately be impacted very negatively. Although it really, really seems like they're trying to give themselves sufficient time, I'm just saying cooling it and waiting another week or two after it would ordinarily be rushed out would be beneficial.

Yup 100% true. Remember the ArenaPVP Season 13 release? That's the product that occurs when an overly ambitious release date is targeted. It's better to just keep the release date internal and surprise people when it's ready, than feel obligated to release at a certain time. The last thing Badlion Premium needs is for it to have a super bumpy release and everyone starts off with a negative attitude.Posted on 16 February 2017 - 09:27 PM
To Zaverus-Yeah, I'd agree but showing that you want it to be out sooner rushed a product to be released well before they would release it naturally, making rushed in a way that may not lead to a polished system. Of course people will learn more if players talk about it, but the "ugh, why isn't it out yet" and especially "just release it already" are (probably) detrimental to the ultimate life of BL Premium.

Yup, comparing the benefits of releasing it 1 week earlier vs having a good product that people actually like is (imo) easy, later and more polished is better.

Mhm, kinda like Apple. (although I know their recent products have been somewhat uneventful) It's clear their ideas are ALWAYS (excluding the first time they tried to make a tablet forever ago) well fleshed out, with good marketing and very little to no issues. I agree that setting the expectations for release date would have been better because now we know it's been moved back, but of course hindsight is 20/20. At this point I think we can agree that it's best for them to bite the bullet and release a great, fleshed out product later for a slightly more upset and less hyped community, but in a way that will last and not instantly kill it (the hype).

It is truly amazing how many staff still don't understand why people are upset about premium.

It is quite bizarre to me that a such a large percentage of staff members are misinterpreting the frustration and disappointment from the players regarding the release and handling of Badlion Premium.

How can you say that is bizarre? I'm mainly referring to the owners that keep claiming that it is almost done and never actually meet the deadline. Then say on Twitter:

It is getting everyone hyped up for something that possibly might not happen for a while. I have nothing against the owners. In fact I am glad they care about the communities opinions/gameplay. But you have to understand that this is why I don't actually believe they know the main reasoning to why we are annoyed.

Your right (Hope i said your/you're in the right way)tbh I would have liked Badlion Premium to be surprised rather than it being released like right now when there is so many bugs and stuff going with the client. We dont need something to happen like what happened with S13 or S5 where it wasnt prepared and wasnt good because it would be better for people to say Badlion Premium is great because a lot of devs are putting so much effort into these projects for us as a community, to keep us entertained not bored thats the whole point
