Okay, so I got this idea in my head wondering about the winrates of the top players in each gamemode, so I spent a few minutes and got the win% of each player in the top 20 for 4 different ladders. Results showed some interesting things.

In General:
Out of all of the groups combined, it seems that in order of competitiveness, UHC is the most competitive with every player except for 20'th having over 80% winrate, followed by Iron OCN with almost every player in that group having a winrate in the 80% range. Next is Vanilla with very inconsistent winrate/rank, perhaps because of people improving over time? Last comes archer, which is probably for several reasons. The gamemode itself isn't actually that accurate to any other server's gamemodes, so there is nowhere else to practice it, leading players to have lower winrates. There are also a lot less players on the ladder, making it much easier to reach top 20. Aside from a few exceptions, it seems that only the top 5 or 6 players in the ladder are very good at the gamemode, which is different from the other ladders.
Interesting to note is that in Iron OCN and Archer, the top ranked player also has the highest winrate with the exception of players with less than 100 games played. However, in UHC and Vanilla, the ladders top winrates are not necessarily the highest ranked, largely due to less games played. No one with over 150 games played has reached a winrate at or above 95% (19/20 games won), with the highest winrate over that many games played being 94% (several players in UHC ladder are at or near this.)
Average winrates of each ladder (top20 players):
UHC: 89.63%
IRONOCN: 86.98%
VANILLA: 84.66%
ARCHER: 81.15%
I chose these 4 ladders because they represent a "group" of ladders ie. UHC, potionpvp, OCN, and archer. I didn't do MCSG and MineZ because I don't care about them.
Thoughts about each ladder:
UHC:
I think this ladder has the highest winrate because being better with a bow than your opponent can almost guarantee a win, unlike bowspam olympics archer ladder. What I mean by that is that if you can outplay your opponent using a bow it's very easy to kill them even if they're better than you with a sword since they can only regen 8 hearts (including absorption.) In archer ladder there are a lot of players that just enderpearl to their opponent and hope they have the better ping to bowspam with (yes there is a difference between using a bow and bowspamming : ) )
IRONOCN: This ladder most likely has lower winrates because of maps where swordfights can be forced easily, and swordfights can be decided by a variety of factors other than skill, especially when you can kill the opponent in 6-7 hits.
Vanilla: Winrate is most likely this low because it's unforgiving, if you make one mistake you're probably going to die in just a few seconds. The same can be said about the other ladders, but even moreso here.
Archer: Again, there is no equivalent gamemode on any of the big/popular servers that I'm aware of, so there is nowhere to practice, and the ladder itself is a very poor representation of bow fighting in my own opinion. It's more of a minigame than a competitive ladder.
Some other statistics I figured out just because I wanted to know:
-If I wanted to get to a 95% winrate in UHC I would have to win (granted that I have 176 wins 11 losses now) 33 consecutive games without a single loss, not including my current winstreak (totaling up to 209 wins 11 losses for exactly 95% winrate.)
-It does seem to be possible to get very high ranks by just spamming games over and over and slowly going upwards with a 75% winrate or higher, although perhaps not top 3 and perhaps with the exception of UHC which requires ~85%
-It's worth noting that the lowest ELO on the frontpage corresponds with the overall winrates (with the exception of IRON OCN.)
-The biggest outlier in the entire set of data is the one player in UHC with a 99 winrate by winning 108 games and losing 1. I can't really say it's enough games to confirm if it's a fluke or not, so I left it in anyway.
It's entirely possible that everything I'm saying is wrong other than the raw statistics, but that's the way I see it so whatever.
